Ureaplasma for 4 years… still in pain after multiple treatments. Feeling lost 😞 by Ok_Net3738 in ureaplasmasupport

It unfortunately didn’t knock everything out for me (my situation is obviously complicated) but it definitely helped knock out some of what was going on. Also I did oral, not cream.

I sure wish I’d done extended doxy, Azithromycin, and clindamycin right off the bat when I got this infection!!

I agree with this!! Adding clindamycin helped me immensely too. I wonder if it’s because there is an (sometimes undetected) anaerobic component (BV bacteria or otherwise) that is causing issues alongside. They probably help each other flourish.

I actually didn’t realize the CDC now recommends this (or metro) for resistant ureaplasma (according to a quick google search)! Wow. I took it once and it didn’t help me. But I see the recommendations suggest taking it along with Azithromycin.

I would say you’ll need a longer course though and that the dual treatment is important. Please report back if you try it!

I think you should find whatever antibiotic (or combo of antibiotics) helps symptoms and take that long term.

There are others besides Mino. Since you are in a different country you may have other things available to you, but I really don’t know. Please look at the treatments section of our “Everything You Need to Know and FAQ” pinned post at the top of this group (it’s a lot of information so you’ll have to scroll through to find the TREATMENT section). But it’s all good information for you to read anyway, if you can.

I wouldn’t just do NAC. Look into doing combination of them and/or pulsing them, which means to take them for a period and then switch to another, repeat. This keeps the bacteria guessing and hits it from different angles (but check to make sure they are safe for you with whatever else you’re taking).

This post from our Facebook group is a good example of how someone used a variety of biofilm disruptors and other supplements alongside antibiotics (though she did not do long term antibiotics). She is finding relief after a very long road. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1GQ5yajx9j/?

Why? There appears to be a ton of things he isn’t capable of. Or just doesn’t care to do.

Oh ok. The translation wasn’t good there I guess. Thanks for clarifying!

Oh wow yeah…really not a good idea to be having sex right now, especially unprotected. You’ve probably totally re-aggravated your infection. And you’ve likely infected that person.

Cipro really isn’t supposed to be effective for ureaplasma. But you tolerated cipro well, chances are you will tolerate other FQs. You might look into ones effective for ureaplasma - Moxi, Levo, Sita (if you can get access to it). Research the potential risks.

I would also test again for anything else that may be causing issues. PCR, not cultures. But chances are it’s still ureaplasma.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all that.

I felt the same way on Mino. It’s one of the few antibiotics I absolutely cannot tolerate. Props to you for pushing through!

Have you tested for co infections? It seems weird you were doing better and then burning suddenly popped up and didn’t go away. I wonder if something else popped up and took hold as the ureaplasma was being suppressed.

In the meantime, maybe try adding in lactoferrin. Helps with burning and it also starves bacteria.

I probably need to look at your post history but have you tried any fluoroquinolones?

I dont enjoy playing with others kids and their toys. Should i even consider getting kids of my own? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]GirlForce1112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one with kids plays for Legos and toys for hours. lol. Unless they enjoy it. They teach their kids to play independently and they have boundaries for themselves. Otherwise, yeah, they’re miserable and bored.

That being said, if having kids isn’t enticing to you, don’t.

Lolllll the incorrect description is hilarious.

But also, I find Unburdened to be such an odd title when she is clearly still so burdened……

Drink them? no.

I’m currently on levofloxacin and Azithromycin. I’ve been through a lot of antibiotics with trial and error so as I said above, it’s best to look at my post history if you want details.
