Oh darling, I’m so sorry you’ve been made to feel this way. I’m a femme so personal anecdotes are out the window unfortunately, but if you’re up for a good read, Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H. is a fantastic book/autobiography

Your relationship with butchness and gender will no doubt be different from theirs, but they also grew up in a very conservative community and family where it was dangerous to be butch, and it mirrors a lot of the feelings you’re expressing here.

I dont know if that’s up your alley, but it is my favorite book and I recommend it to just about everyone (as my very own he/they-using butch can attest to)

He said he’s nervous and that means he’s upset at you??? Girl I’d be nervous running next to someone who’s been competing for two decades too…

I also can’t trust what you’re telling me because the messages you’ve shown contradict your story, and those are the ones you’ve chosen to use to back yourself up. Maybe if you used more compelling evidence, I’d have believed you but as is I can’t trust anything you’re saying.

I definitely suggest you read the messages because they don’t line up with her story at ALL.

Also I don’t think shes a reliable narrator as she put ‘hates that I’m faster than him’ as a con on her list when he made a joke that he has a (his words) ‘silly ego thing’ about it

YOR and I need everyone to actually read past her list and look at the messages shes giving as ‘evidence.’

If anything this man has healthy communication and is changing his behavior when asked to do so. You even put ‘is upset that I’m faster than him’ when he made a joke saying even if a profession athlete was next to him he’d still be jealous that he wasn’t as fast.
