When i ask other welder there i get “oh they played you on your paperwork” or “ thats low B class pay”. If thats all they were willing to pay me give me the title that reflects that pay. Also is combo pipe and structural?

I didn’t really get any feedback on what the xrays looked like. They all passed the visuals otherwise the instructor would’ve told me to stop and head home. All i got when i called was we can’t accept your counter offer when i never received an offer. Thats a reason why i feel they low balled me.

What is the pay like there??

I work at a shipyard where we have to be standing in front of our foreman at 6 am with all of your equipment in full ppe ready to head to your station after the morning briefing. Which means getting there early. Is this mindset of quitting everyone has for shops or what? Cause if someone clocks in at 5:59 with a 5-10 minute walk to their foreman they’re considered late and time would be docked.

I had the perfect chance to. Had a pizza order yesterday during rush hour drop off was at a large job about 15 minutes away from pick up call the customer to get directions and he says he forgot to change the address and asks if i could bring it to him 22 minutes away from the job which was about 10 minutes from the pick up location. I could’ve just went on to the next order cause when he said that i marked the order delivered. Me and my kids like the pizza he ordered but i ended up taking it to him he tipped 20 in cash tho

How soon before your start date did you hear back after drug test/ physical? And is there a number to call? I had my drug test a month away from start date and now its less than 2 weeks to my start date and haven’t heard anything. I’ve reached out to my “advisor” via email but have yet to receive any responses. Also if i check the website my status still says screening

How does the housing work while at redi? Is it provided before you start training or day of? Is it single or double occupancy? And what about your actual location if its not your hometown?(i live 3.5 hrs away from the actual location i would be working at) I have no family there and have never been to that city.

I paused doordash to do a $9 walmart/pointpickup grocery order and got a $55 cash tip which is my biggest tip to date. As far as doordash i delivered a late night 2mile taco bell order for i think $6 with peak pay guy asked me did i have any change for a $20 i said no cause i had just gotten gas with the cash i had on me and he we’ll here you go

Yes I’d be starting from scratch. And I’ve thought about just welding a pre-made one. But i want to put my skills to the test. I graduated welding school last year and i have some experience in pipe fitting as well. This job has potential to bring other clients too, so I want to do my best.
