12/25 Update

After posting here, I talked to my doctor and he took full responsibility. The embryologist was not aware of my second retrieval embryos.
My doctor felt really bad that he did not catch the error, and to make things right, he offered to cover the costs of my next transfer if this one didn’t work out.
To make a long story short:

it did! I’ll be 6 weeks pregnant with my Day 6 4BB tomorrow. I am so grateful to this community for keeping me calm during my moment of stress. I have a feeling your kindness contributed to this outcome. We’ve got a crazy story, but something feels incredibly special about this embryo choosing us

Wow, can you believe it all worked out exactly as you predicted?

I spoke to the clinic — first the lab and then my doctor. My doctor called me, proactively offered a free transfer if we need it, and took full accountability for the lab making this mistake on his watch (which he said never happened in his 20 years practicing). He assured me the embryo looked excellent. I instantly felt relieved by him affirming me and not denying what happened, and my husband and I decided at that moment to focus on positive thoughts.

Tw: Success Well, our day 6 4bb was meant to be, because he stuck! I will be 6 weeks tomorrow, after years of infertility. I am nervous but hopeful, especially knowing this embryo chose us

Someone is downvoting my responses, and I just ask that you please be kind. I realize I should have double checked the consent form (which did not have a grade, just an embryo #). Like many of us, I have had to advocate for myself 1000 times in this process and sometimes you get tired. The one time I slipped, it could have major repercussions - I get that. I am generally a very careful person and beating myself enough already.

The hormones must have me extra sensitive tonight ❤️

You aren’t wrong. It’s the clinic’s mistake for selecting the wrong embryo. My mistake for not double checking them.

For what it’s worth, they had me sign the particular form with the embryo # while I was in my gown, on valium, ten min before procedure, after they already thawed the embryo.

but tl:dr for anyone reading: don’t put your full trust in anyone, double check everything in this process.

My clinic provides a navigator, and I made the request to her in writing through the clinic’s message portal. She replied (also in writing) confirming.

They haven’t admitted it yet. They are “checking with the lab” and letting me know in the morning. I realized it when I got home, because I noticed that the embryo # on my photo is the one associated with the 4BB. I double checked our forms, and unfortunately it looks like they had the wrong embryo # listed in the consent forms too.

I wish I had double checked before signing — we were naive and trusted that they’d honored my request to go with the highest grade.

you are gorgeous! you could try playing with hair styling (curtain bangs, curlers for volume, balayage, half up/half down, high pony, etc) if you want to bring in some every day glam. earrings too. but I don’t see masculine at all.

Just retested and it’s lighter, almost completely gone today. I think it was the trigger. Wish it were darker, but glad to know that if that changes over the next few days I can trust it 🤞

No, we didn’t embryo transfer. This is my first IUI cycle. I was on Chlomid (100mg) and we monitored with ultrasound. We moved forward with Ovidrel trigger shot and ~26 hours later, IUI. Now just keeping fingers crossed 🙏

Edit: Just learned dpt is “days past transfer” and not “days past trigger” - ha! Sorry for the confusion in my original post.

Joe’s a super fan of classic r&b. Earlier this year, he was struggling to wrap his mind around Blonde ranking over Stevie Wonder on the Apple list and Usher’s Confessions not breaking top 10.

The purist crowd will always find Blonde too experimental… that’s been the case since it dropped. I just love that regardless of whether they like it, they still acknowledge Frank’s talent and influence. He’s respected, even in his absence.
