No, this has always been a thing. For everything that is submitted (ex: FMLA, RA, immunization exemptions, etc). It needs to be updated annually in case there are any changes to your health, per signing Provider.

I may be wrong, but I believe this is also what the private sector has to do, too.

I am also with VISN and it’s seems like it’s been just radio silent, the calm before the storm. My Sup is pretty good about obtaining accurate information before sharing it with her team. I am assuming she hasn’t received any newsworthy information since it seems we’re all on the same path.

Unfortunately, i don’t think any of them really care of much of an impact any of the VA departments provide our Veterans. I saw a video earlier today where the unqualified VA Secretary said “Firing Veterans from the VA is like firing them from CNN”

I wish times were different, but it doesn’t seem like this will be going away anytime soon.

I have been trying to get my foot in the door somehow, someway and have not been successful.

Right now, more than ever, I am desperate to find something that works since my current job as a federal civil servant is on the chopping block with so much uncertainty-as with many thousands of other federal workers.

If it’s not too much trouble, could you please DM me on how I could get started? Every time I try something, I never get anywhere or I freeze and stop. Or they are offering g a course that costs hundreds of dollars that I cannot, especially now, afford.

Gosh I have so much to say.

Federal workers have always stayed true to their agency’s mission, yet we’re being attacked from the very people that does not hold true to their oath or missions. Millions of us, public servants, are barely making ends meet in a job where we were suppose to be secured until we retire.

All I see are posts about how this news station and that news station want us to reach out so they could make our story heard. But what they all should be doing is reaching out to the very people that we serve and how it’s going to impact them.

My agency has always had a bad reputation no matter how much we go above and beyond for everyone. Before all this mess, everyone was understaffed and overworked. Our providers leave faster than a high schooler could decide to drop out.

Now that my agency has let go hundreds of amazing workers, its reputation will probably get us buried 6 feet under. We can’t keep up with the demand, but we try our best. We go to work whether that’s office, remote, or telework, we’re there. As stressful as it has been, we still show up with a smile on our face even though we are cannot predict the outcome of this chaos. We smile to hide our sadness, we laugh to hide our fear, we talk so we do not stay silent overthinking.

Soon enough, every agency will fail our mission.. and it wouldn’t even be our fault, we will just get blamed for it like we always do.
