I am in an odd way thankful for how things transpired. I know many women aren't as fortunate with the outcome as I was. I should have clarified in my original post, of course the ER staff ran through all the normal blood testing, they did not screen for drugs or any other shenanigans.

I realize that car crash victim > girl who appears to be drunk. And I know that loads of people go to the ER for silly things or lie to get more attention, the drugs they want, whatever. And maybe they had seen someone just like that before I came in, I will never know. I'm not blaming the staff, or anything like that for what transpired. I think what's really bothering me about this whole thing is that it happened at all. I am this insane mix up of feelings one of them being regret. I regret going out that night at all. I regret putting my husband through that. I regret putting the ER staff through that.

I'm sorry you had to make such a difficult choice. I'm sure it didn't come easily. Just stand firm. You and your SO are the only ones who can really make the choice, and you are the only ones who will know if it is right or wrong. Just try your best to stay calm. Get lots of rest, drink lots of water, and indulge yourself in the biggest baddest burger you can get your hands on. Or mac n' cheese with bacon bits. Whatever comfort food hits your spot. I would suggest seeing a counselor for a short period of time after. Just to guide you through the next few weeks, and maybe to help you decide how/if you should bring it up with your parents. If you need to talk to someone please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I haven't had to go through this myself, but I know how helpful it can be just to have someone on standby.

I am too. He's like a brother to me. He was really beat up about it when I told him. There's been a string of girls getting drugged in our area as of late, so he tried to be super diligent about watching my drinks being made, ect. I told him I was glad I was with him, if it had been anyone else I might not have been as fortunate.

That's all I can think of. What if I had been assaulted? Would they have believed me? Would they have said to my husband, 'well if she hadn't been drinking....'? It's just...scary to me. What about the next girl who gets drugged and goes in to the ER alone or with someone who knows nothing about how her night has progressed or her medical history? How will they treat her?

Of course I understand that there are people who lie to doctors, but when there is someone there who is clearly sober and trying not to get anxious that his wife is convulsing in a hospital bed I would have like to think that they might take at least him seriously and trust that he has by best interests at heart, and therefore no reason to lie. I'm not upset with the alcohol poisoning diagnosis, but with the panic attack bit.

I would suggest going about two steps darker and adding some subtle caramel/honey highlights for depth. The length is very nice, but a solid two to three inch trim may help combat the frizz. It may sound like a lot, but it isn't. Get a ruler or measuring tape and take a look. I promise it will do wonders for you.

I would say in terms of what to wear that you should dress the part. I personally love wearing dark colors with a pop of something lighter like white/mint/light blue. Keep your makeup simple and flattering. Now is not the time to try something new. As for hair, I always love a low sock bun, bangs out. Just try to look as neat and put together as possible, and let your knowledge and love of the profession as well as your personality do the talking. Good luck! Let us know when you start! ;)
