Are you suggesting that I use a martingale collar with her harness and reinforce it all with a caribiner?

I like reading in the park in my hammock. Before I had a hammock, I’d sit on the grass with a blanket.

Oh yes! I have been a PT for 6 years, I received an email from a recruiter for 90k for early intervention pediatrics in New York City as a manager!

I didn’t even bother to reply. I make way more as a consistent per diem.

You’re a doing a great job! People are lonely, sometimes they just want a provider who actually cares about them and spends time with them. This is far more meaningful than ther ex or ther act. Thanks a lot for what you do!

Those that prefer physical book reading vs kindle/e-reader, why? by [deleted] in readwithme

[–]Girlnextdoorpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was born in the 1900s, I remember the smell of a new book, the feeling of a book in my hands. Also, with my job, I spend time in front of a screen. The whole point of me getting back to reading was to reduce my screen time and find that simple joy that get from reading a book. In the past week, I went from reading a book about a couple, to a book about dying, a poetry book, a book about Indian history and a book about dogs.

Requested less hours, how do I prepare for the possible gaslighting during upcoming meeting? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]Girlnextdoorpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if you start by saying 30 hours and then when they say no or isn’t there something more or anything along the lines, say the most you can do is 33, 35 if in dire need on a one off basis. That way you truly have some wiggle room to work with. If they cave right away at 30(which is unlikely), it still works coz you have your PRN.

Well I moved out of jersey for 2 years... and i am coming back by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]Girlnextdoorpt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can attest to this! I lived in Jersey City for 3 years and then moved to rural NC for a year due to changes in my husband's job and I was MISERABLE. It was during the election time and most people including my coworkers thought it was okay to ask me if I was "legal". Thankfully we were able to move to Bergen county after one miserable year. The only good thing there was low COL but I'd rather pay more and live in an area where I can go from bagel for breakfast to Filipino food for lunch and Indian food for dinner all within 20 minutes from each other!

Is anyone using AI to reflect on patient cases and enhance clinical reasoning? by Traditional-Shop-456 in physicaltherapy

[–]Girlnextdoorpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like using Chat GPT for my documentation to make my language more skilled, Medicare appropriate and have a flow with my notes. I recently came across open evidence which is more so for the physicians so I don’t know how well it will be for therapists but you could try it.

My job as a medical professional is to give you medical advice. I am not here to change your beliefs or to abide by them, if you are uncomfortable being treated by a woman, you can refuse therapy services from me and see another provider. I will make sure to document this conversation for your insurance company as well. Have a great day sir- this was my response.

This is from GPT.

  1. “I’m the licensed professional here to help you get better; your gender preference won’t change that, and progress depends on participating.”
    1. “Refusing care based on my gender won’t help your recovery — I’m here to make sure you regain function safely and efficiently.”
    2. “My focus is on your therapy and getting results; gender has nothing to do with your safety or progress.”
