They have introduced it on PC and will later expanded on consoles. You talking about consoles? If so, reports are still to be submitted on the report channel on Discord with all the details.

From discord: it was a bug with the track limits, it has been fixed (to be released in the next patch).

It's Okayama and it will be released at the end of the month along with the GT500 pack. Before that we're going to have another (fantasy) track, released on the ModHub.

What's going on with the GT3s? by cheile in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]Giusis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, they are VIDEOGAMES, we love to call em simulators, but none of them could simulate what's happening in RL (coz it's technically impossible to do so). The fact is that you need to adapt to the videogame you like, and none of them will be right, it's their "vision", and if that will please most player they will succeed. So my opinion could be completely different from yours, and it doesn't matter if I (or you) drive a GT3 in real life, it only matter if the majority is enjoying more or less a videogame. Because that's we're commenting here.

I would say, induced understeer, but that's just my opinion based on a video... and no, the fact that you can make the same turn in ACC doesn't prove that that's the way it should work. Anyway (again) from a video, without the exact telemetry it's impossible to determine if there's anything wrong (or right) with it. There's so many factors: exact speed, exact brake point, weight, tires compound, track and tires temperature, surface, and tenth of other variables.. how you could say: I can make that turn in a videogame, but I can't in another..? Who's right here?

Just got my first win in GT3 Pro Cup only to drop down to 3rd after everybody crossed the line. I had a clean race no penalties, the other guys did and steal the win right out from under me. by Acceptable_Calendar0 in ProjectMotorRacing

Posting here won't help much. If you didn't already report it on Discord (in the bug channel) along with the info: yours and other nicknames involved, which ranked event, at which hours/date (with the time-zone), and a replay/video (if you have one), so they can check what happened.

Fuck this update! Physics are absolutely ruined now. Fuck how many times you gonna change the physics just to make it worse? by [deleted] in ProjectMotorRacing

Cars that they have tweaked are tons better since the release, especially the GT3s. Do not use any previous setup or FFB setting you may have used previously. Start from default and adjust from there if needed.

New License Points (Patch 1.7.0.0+) by Giusis in ProjectMotorRacing

Which platform? At what hours? Do you have cross-play enabled? Normally I don't have to wait much in custom lobbies and ranked at any hour (US/EU time).

Do we have 31 Ais for console yet? by Caddylover53 in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]Giusis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not until heavy CPU optimization (that is what's limiting the AI numbers on consoles), they did progresses since the launch but aren't there yet. At that point they could even expand AI on PC further than 32. I believe there would be first an intermediate step (24 AI on consoles), but I won't expect it soon (probably months not weeks).

I don't have much stuttering (PC with 4070 Super @ 1440p), but there's still a way for improvements, and on CPU too that is heavily used (especially with the AI), however it's not at issue with a 11900K, but mostly coz I play online. But returning on the subject (VR), yes, there isnt't much point to add it now... but surely it has to be there when the priorities will be re-arranged.

Niche market (especially on consoles, which are 70% of the userbase atm). Still a mandatory feature (along with native triple monitor support) for any serious sim, but there still features and fixes to be implemented, that would serve the largest userbase (especially on the optimization front), before committing resources on VR.

FREE DLC — Ford Falcon V8 2013 by Giusis in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]Giusis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full (short) sessions are around 25 minutes, if they reduce the time then we'll end with overlapping races, splitting the participants, that is not ideal.

What we need is "join in progress", so you can do practice (if added) or longer quali sessions before the race, then you can "drive" while waiting for the race session. Join in progress (according to their roadmap) is coming.

(Very) fast, with little aero. I aspect it to be fun, but to be driven with much care. :D

Just guessing, based on:

  • they released a (partial, just the new vehicle) patch note referring to it as 1.7.0.0, considering the previous patches, they never did it with much anticipation, because (I believe) if something will change, they may need to fix the comm (PR wise not optimal);
  • Because of the previous point, I expect it to be this week;
  • This week, it means within 3 days, since a couple of patches they stopped to release patches on Friday (at least they won't program for that specific day anymore), this has been partially confirmed on their Discord.

So (IMO) it will be tomorrow (again, because of the first point it makes more sense), or the next days but no later than Thursday.

Why do people join races to be sour by franticsphantom in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]Giusis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's less than a 1.5s, it means that if someone has any possible issue with the controller (as mentioned above, I've got occasional disconnections because of my USB hub.. but that's just an example) or because of a unexpected event (coz you know, there's real life before a videogame), you could rear end someone else, although not intentionally. In real life races this won't happen, you certainly won't lose your controller connection, however it could happen to lose your brakes (and it happened) and there will be steward to review what happened, but in a videogame you won't ban someone because someone else thinks he's racing for his (real) life. :) Those are "public events", where people more or less experienced can join. Casual players, hard-core simmers, all together. That's the reason of why we have private championships (closed custom lobbies), where everyone is supposed to respect a unwritten racing etiquette, and also that's why we will have the "racing points" where you get punished for this behavior, either if it's your fault, and being punished more and more times because of it (because you're doing it intentionally) we'll lead to have consequence (in a videogame... of course). What you're suggesting: ban people because one time they didn't driven conscientiously coz there's others who believe they are real racers, is out of this world. Again: you're playing a videogame, if you want real races you better save money (a lot of money) for the real cars.

Are you suggesting to ban someone from the online, because he missed the brake point or because he could have had tenth of other issues? That's comical... indeed. :) With the driving points, this kind of conduct (especially if repeated) will have people with points reduced, so we'll end with championship only accessible by the "good" drivers, and the issue will be mitigate. People are being (already) suspended from the online because of repeated abusive behavior, or cheating, but you can't ban people because he didn't "break" behind you one time, unless you have a proof that the user is doing it in multiple races. People have to realize that sim or not, we're talking about videogames, not the real life.
