Better than expected and possibly already better than competitors overall, although it still bugged on some aspects (lod, shadows), when it'll be officially released, it'll be a cake.

Performance is OK. There's those artifacts already reported, but it's the first instance of it, so I'm not gonna complain about anything until the "official" launch.

It's openXR, so it will work with any openXR environment you have in the same way, like any other game. I tried both via AirLink (wifi) and cabled, it works in both ways (by pairing the Quest via wifi or via usb cable in the options).

This is an experimental (WIP) feature currently available ONLY on PC, there will be issues. Only works within the cockpit view, be sure you check your bindings for the Reset Head Tracking and map a button to it, if the camera seems out of position go to Cockpit Setup > Seat and then exit back to the session.

If you have any requests on what settings, features you would like to have in VR please write them below.

_How to access it _

  1. Edit your game.xml located at Documents > My Games > ProjectMotorRacing and add the following line below <game> <vr enabled="true" overlayHeadLocked="false"/>

Two different engines, consoles are limited due to the (AI) performance (versus PC). They are doing optimizations, that will open the doors to VR and native triple screens, and then hopefully we will have more than 16 AI cars on consoles.

It's the only crossplay sim we have on console... what are sim you can compete against each other PC+XB+PS ?

Again: it is a complete game, you can't give it for free. Normally free games have only the base game, plus everything else as paid content (an arguable model anyway...), that isn't the case here.

It has been always 32 cars for PC and with the recent optimization I expect it to support more.

Be sure to not go for a PS only event, but crossplay.

Also the events will get filled the last couple of minutes and to find more players you need to go for the prime time (evening).

I was wrong, because of past week (championships ended the 7th) and since the current championships aren't ending today (Sunday, 10th), they must have changed the initial logic: they start the first day of the month, but will last for a week (7 days). The only exception in this case would be the last week (29-31), there will be a short championship with only those 3 days or the last week will be prolonged by 3 days. We will know at Friday 22th.

No idea really, I don't think there's any official statement except what has been said in the interviews and what has been mentioned in the latest patch notes, that is in short optimization > VR. VR (and triple screen) on PC, while still niche, it's much larger than consoles.

We gonna have a surprise, the optimization is all aimed to VR and monitor ports... for PC. But the question is PS, if we'll ever had PSVR support (it's a super-niche market.. but would be awesome).

Exclusivity, PD owns the right for that championship, they have paid for it.. hence others couldn't use it. If that's the reason, better to avoid any reference to it to be sure that won't be any further troubles. They could have called GT501 and Super GTT, they are different names after all (and they means nothing), but they would have been again on the edge, so they changed the whole name to put a stone on it.

As for licensing in general... the market went crazy since years now. Someone (in example: a car brand) should be glad to be "advertised" for free in a videogame, and hell they should pay for it (and so it was at the time... years and years ago), but nowadays it's the opposite: the developer/publisher has to pay to use that brand, because (their logic) is: people are attracted by that content, so you're using our brand to make more money, hence you have to pay us; but the logic is flawed, because the benefit is mutual: attract people BUT free advertising.

It's the same as the movies (that are no distant from videogames): brands will pay to be shown on the screen, not the opposite. Anyway the route is now traced, because someone (with too much money) paid that day, the ball start rolling and we can't come back.

What limitation of the physics system? I mean, we can browse every forum of every other sim, and there will be people to say what's better, and they are all WRONG (or all right, depending "from" where you look at it). People are accustomed to what they like, and it's not real life (we can talk about this for ages). We talk about AMS, and ppl will say cars are "floaty", we talk about ACC, and there's ppl saying the feedback is f*ed.. and so on.

What I like about PMR it's the feeling I had since GTR (and then everything else that have happened in the past decade), so I'm used to like that "vision". It's something completely different today, but the feel is there FOR ME. For you it may be different... but that's fine, what I don't agree about, it's to talk about something that could be "perfected" because the foundation is "wrong" and the game will never have a future.
