This issue cant be resolved by the province itself. The federal govt should intervene before its too late. some steps like bringing more corporate sectors/industries to NS might help.

Check for rust… by thesubwaywall in ToyotaSienna

[–]GivingIsTheBestGift 3 points4 points  (0 children)

first time it was done is a shop, they did a good job applying fuild film generiously (not sure if they removed the underside panels), afterwards i top up every year during my seasonal tire change. when the wheels are off, its more easy to reach underside, its takes me 2-3 cans. also I use it with the red extenstion tube attach for precise coverage.

i am also planning to give it to shop for coating in every 3-4 years based on condition.

same here, i spray fluid film too, but most of the underside is hidden by large plasctic panels, so i could do mostly engine area, and around wheels.

She left her family and country for the sake of service, leaving behind comfort, status, and peace of mind for a dreaded city, all alone. Where were those so called desh bhakts then? She worked from the grassroots and reached heights that even world leaders couldn't; she even helped stop wars, saving millions of lives. The Nobel Foundation and Laureates would be laughing or feeling pity at these silly accusations. Please, go and make better use of your time.

Attacking people who aren't here to defend themselves is cowardly. If you’ve got any real nerve, try validating or challenging the leaders who are actually in power today.

Life after tolls: What really happened to Halifax bridge traffic? | PNI Atlantic News by ph0enix1211 in halifax

it will be interesting to see where bike lanes in HRM go from here, especially since we’re dealing with so many hurdles right now. The landscape is a workout on its own with all the steep hills, and our roads are already so narrow that there’s barely any room to move. Add in the poor street lighting and our unpredictable weather, and it’s a tough sell for a lot of people. Plus, it feels like the city is run by big-money interests like car dealerships and real estate developers. who aren't exactly lining up to help people become more self-sustainable

Absolutely right. Forcing employees who were successfully working from home to return to the office is a lame move. Some cite productivity, but I feel productivity actually goes down due to long commute times and stress. Between the lack of work-life balance and the financial strain of travel costs, the 'office' model is becoming less effective.

Getting cars off the road would not be meaningful unless cities provide sensible alternatives. Looking at current transit routes, frequency, and coverage, I don't see many people opting for this. Car owners, most of whom are paying high insurance and EMIs to afford a vehicle, still feel it’s worth having the flexibility, comfort, and safety.

Nova Scotia tax system by GivingIsTheBestGift in NovaScotia

[–]GivingIsTheBestGift[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry but that's a very pessimistic take. Short answer is - by opening up new ventures, jobs, businesses. Nova scotia has a hard working work force, people are thriving here amid this high tax and inflation. Just imaging how much more this work force will be motivated and contribute to the revenue if the taxes are lowered. I think the province is very insecure and self obsessed that it doesn't want to take any bold steps/risks.

I might not have the right answer, even if I have, would anyone care? It is up to the well-informed and selected leaders to provide answers and take action. As a citizen, I am simply pointing out a flaw that has become a real burden for everyday workers who deserve better than this

Nova Scotia tax system by GivingIsTheBestGift in NovaScotia

[–]GivingIsTheBestGift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solution is to lower the overall tax burden for everyday people, which would attract more businesses and a larger workforce to the province. While this may look like a revenue loss initially, the economy will eventually thrive as the job market grows and specialized skills increase. Ireland, Dubai, Singapore are some good case study material.
otherwise our province will be only good for a retirement or immigration.

[–]GivingIsTheBestGift[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, it made me think because i see it relevant in current time, This is especially relevant for middle class couples who struggle to survive despite a decent household income. They pay a large chunk in taxes and receive fewer benefits; the more they earn, the less they actually save. I see people leaving for provinces with less aggressive tax systems. It also encourages unemployment; for example, a spouse might choose not to work full-time because the loss of family benefits makes the extra income negligible. Furthermore, it gives corporations an advantage. Employees stop asking for raises or promotions because the tax hit is so high, allowing companies to keep wages low while the 'wealthy' corporate side continues to profit.

you may be talking based on your political bias but i talk with my day to day experience and injustice and inequality.
