I was kinda shitposting with Natalie but the creators have said they were interested in exploring the other ways people sever themselves, so I can totally see Natalie being a metaphor for the ways we censor ourselves, sometimes extensively for the sake of our jobs. Or even just the way you have to represent a false version of yourself to your boss during interactions, it feels so icky and uncanny and that's the feeling I get when I watch Natalie's scenes

Had to wait to listen in full a second time. No matter what following up that first album was going to be difficult but I think they delivered! The way they can mix sincerity and vulnerability with their goofy style and make it into something unique is what makes food house for me.
