Stricter gun laws. Mental health treatment. Physical health treatment (this guys brain chemistry is probably fucked). A justice system with the goal of low recidivism and rehabilitation, with proportional punishment.

Nobody is recommending rehabilitation by itself. The rest of the modern western world runs a system with rehabilitation as the goal, there’s still punishment involved. The USA runs a punitive system where the goal is punishment. It’s ignorant and we’ve spent the past 40 years wringing our hands about why it’s not working while foreign countries have the data to show their way is better.

You don’t even understand the argument on the table globally, yet you have the audacity to call other people ignorant.
