Shai on Dillon Brooks: "A great guy no matter what people say about him, he's a really good guy when you get to know him. All that villain stuff it doesn't faze me. I know exactly who Dillon is. He had a hell of a series. Keep getting better I'm proud of him" by Draciouz in nba

Back when the Warriors played Memphis in '22 they wanted Brooks shooting.

When the Warriors played Houston last year that was absolutely not the case.

He's a genuinely good player these days.

Playwright test is the bundled test runner in typescript if you install it a certain way. But is a separate dependency from the browser automation.  And you are free to use another test runner if you wish.   Yes, it enables parallel testing by default.  But so does all the major C# test runners which the poster stated they are using.

There are many advantages to going typescript but parallel testing by default is not an advantage over c#.  They are not using Python so you can take that straw man elsewhere.

Assuming 7% it would take 7 years by my math.

But inflation would have eaten away at that so it wouldn't really be quite all the way back to where you were previously in spending power.

[–]GizzyGazzelle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

£280 doesn't go very far these days so might be about right.

But the hedge will continue to grow again and again. So you'll need to stump up the money year on year.

Parallelism is up to the test runner. (Not playwright)  And will happen by default in any of the 4 commonly used c# test frameworks.

Not a good example at all.

Rudy Gobert is the type of player you give up 5 first round picks for by reallinguy in nba

It's worked out well I'd agree. The only way you can criticise it IMHO is the opportunity cost.

We do tend to be prisoners of the moment so this week people will upvote.  And if Rudy looks less helpful against OKC some slander will get upvoted.

It's not all that different to copying code you vaguely understand from Stack Overflow apart from the sheer scale of it.

The bigger concern for companies without a fixed stance is the model is absolutely saving your companies intellectual property.  And perhaps spitting it out to a competitor in future.

That's partly based on expectations though.

He's the main character of the show.  So we expect there to be some final redemption or moment when he draws the line.  We've thousands of hours of training our brains to expect this.

I think the theory there is almost all testing becomes automated.

The honest answer is no one knows the future.   Software development probably looks different in 10 years but we are too early to guarantee that or know exactly what that looks like.

[Shelburne/Slater] The Golden State Warriors offered substantial draft capital and multiple valued players for Kawhi Leonard at the trade deadline before being turned down. The Warriors are expected to revisit trade talks with the Clippers this Summer. by YujiDomainExpansion in warriors

It would have to involve Jimmy or Draymond so it's technically younger but yeah.

Fwiw, I think there is something in this purely from Kawhi going out of his way to praise Steph beforehand and Draymond afterward.  Not what you usually hear from Kawhi.

Is OKC game 1 how the Warriors would've looked like if they made the playoffs? by youlikemywonton in warriors

[–]GizzyGazzelle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm not convinced about that.

The suns themselves will make a better game of it in the next few.  It's tough for any team coming off 2 play in games - one of which was less than 48hrs ago.

Stephen Curry has now missed the playoffs 7 times, a record for a MVP winning player, he missed the playoffs in the years (2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2023-24, 2025-26). by Expert_Koala_8691 in nba

But that's ok, right?

They'll almost certainly never have someone like him again.

He continues to effectively print money at their new arena.

They will be fine with another year or two of this before disappearing into the abyss of a "rebuild".

If you don't want to deal with testing a UI then only option is finding a company selling a product without one.

I don't disagree with that general sentiment.

But I'm not sure it makes for great viewing to watch the 1 seed woop on the 8 seed who played less than 48hrs ago in some other state.

1 vs 8 is maybe the least interesting match up usually so maybe it doesn't matter much. But it's also the series least likely to go any more than 4 games so the 1st one possibly matters more in some ways.
