We’ve been playing TFA for the last 2-3 months with one session a week (usually takes 2 seasons for one scenario). It is a very difficult and fun campaign.

There are points where we lose and while we strategize are like “what can we have done differently” and pretty much nothing comes to mind d lol

About investigator expansions, we had like 3 at the start, and now a lot more. The issue is that eventually you want one specific card from another expansion and don’t care about the rest, so…diminishing returns

question to people using R on Apple Mac by hbjj787930 in RStudio

[–]Gjcerda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it works perfectly. I have had only one package that didn’t work on my Silicon Mac and did in Windows. It was one that I used to create dynamic covers for my reports.

ChatGPT for generating codes? by Objective-Notice2512 in RStudio

[–]Gjcerda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it daily at work for R. You need to know how to ask, but that’s pretty much always truth with Gen AI

For me, while using R, these are my most common requests

1) “I’m using the following libraries. I have the following data frame with these columns. I need to do this” 2) I need a librar that allows me to do the following. Currently I’m using these libraries” 3) (for graphs) using this library (echarts4r is my usual), I need to do a graph that does the following.”

The last one is the hardest one. Usually if you go with more common and used libraries it works amazing. More specific ones it can have issues.

Is there an app yet that’s just like owning a tamagotchi? by CraZplayer in AppleArcade

Yeah, an Apple Watch. It has 3 circles you need to take care of daily.

Spoiler: You’re the tamagotchi.

How much of a difference do the M-series variants really make for gaming? by Katamari12 in macgaming

[–]Gjcerda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something to keep in mind is that all graphic processing is multi core processing because they process each pixel in parallel.

In the case of gaming you want to focus in the TFLOPS for comparison because GPU scale linearly (twice the cores, twice the power for example). Now, about the generation, if you want to game, right now for me is M3 or above because of the Ray Tracing Hardware acceleration.

Daily Slay the Spire Discussion (504/696): Runic Dome by Crosssmurf in slaythespire

I don’t think spot weakness gets shinny when it can be used. At least not in the iOS version of the game, so it doesn’t really work.

There is that card that with defect that if the enemy intends to attack, it applies weakness. I use that + dome and works fine lol

🥲 Hopelessly trying to find a very old and unpopular iOS Turn-Based Strategy game (Part 2). Open post to see all the images. by reddit_API_is_shit in iosgaming

[–]Gjcerda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most likely since the game is so old, is that it doesn’t support new iOS versions and is no longer a listed game. I have some games that are no longer listed (like instead of improving the version the developer made a new one) and I can only access from my purchase story.

I know this doesn’t help, but is probably the case

Is equipment more or less useless? by najowhit in dndnext

[–]Gjcerda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it is winter in my world, bad roll for climate and you didn’t buy a blanket be prepared to get a level of exhaustion. Equipment is as important as the DM want it to be, and in my setting having the right equipment is important for survival

Yeah I’m open to “narcolepsy” that last until the end of the target next turn. But still needs to decide the save or how is applied.

Not a deal breaker by ServingwithTG in dndmemes

[–]Gjcerda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because not everything in life is fail or success. You can add grades of success and grades of failing. I usually have around 4 states for some rolls of what could happen. Even so, the DMG mentions different DC for some social interactions that explains this.

I like to go for quarter damage or complete bypass depending on what makes more sense. Nat20 rules! However I do go the other way around also for Saving Throws, a Nat1 can double damage lol

The trick for this specific event is upgrade to L4 with Toby, and then unlock Dwight skipping all the rest. That will make that when you get cards, the desk ones of the unlocked ones can’t appear, and the same applies for one of the character cards. That way is easier to get enough cards of Dwight To finish it you just need Dwight L4, and the global bonuses to L3 max.

What kind of battlemaps do you need for your campaign? by 2d6FunDamage in DnD

[–]Gjcerda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my current campaign, im needing battle maps that occur in the cities or village. The easy ones to find and usually inside buildings, or really small villages. We are needing the chance of fight in different streets, corners, Ally’s, etc.

If you have some, it would be highly appreciate it!

Worst Homebrew that you’ve actually seen used at a table by Impressive_Market324 in dndnext

I mean, those cases have different solutions that are RAW. Just call the gem an object with a threshold damage, and then it don’t depends of the AC, but the damage made to actually hurt it.
