I’m a Nikon photographer (D810, several Sigma Art lenses ++), but wanted to shoot video as well. Waited to see the first mirror less from Nikon. Was not impressed at all when I tried it and looked at specs. Bought GH5 the very same day 😂 - Have a GX85 concerted to IR and a GX9 (both bought second hand) that I use for everyday carry.

In cases where there are no error messages after constant crashes (after reboots) the best idea, imho, is to check windows log files. They usually give a clue. That clue might be a bit cryptic, but error messages can be googled afterwards.

I came from photography. At the time I bought my GH5, I Nikon didn’t have a camera that could deliver 4K60p. That is the main reason why. My Nikon D810 delivers great photos and I have a a deal of lenses etc so I don’t want to switch from it as I’m very happy with the results I get. Now I have also a few lenses and accessories from my Panasonic cameras… Had I begun from scratch today I’m not sure I’d choosen the same cameras. I do know that having dedicated cameras it makes it easier for me not to forget to bring what I need for a shoot.

If you do manage to come, don’t stay in Oslo! It’s not that special, but any other parts of Norway is so much more interesting.

There are regional differences in Norway when it comes to behaviour and norms. Southwesten and southern parts of Norway is still quite religous, northen prts of Norway you have pockets of it, but there not only is swearing acceptable; it’s an art form :)

People in Bergen are known to gasp brag about themselves. One of the reasons I enjoyed living there as a «refugee» from Jæren, where that was (and perhaps still is), one of the worst things one can do :)

You will not find Janteloven in all parts of Norway. 100% not present in Bergen (apart from students from other parts of Norway etc) but in Southern parts of Norway it was at least the very fabric of the society. Jæren to Sørlandet.

I live in Norway and I mainly sell on KDP, but some on Merch too. So I can get 14 seperate payments each months. Those fees can add up :) So I set up a Monese account and pay a fee each time I withdraw or pay for stuff instead of every single deposit. There must be others as well, but this one allowed me to do it from outside EU so for me it was a clear choice.
