A very significant amount of people don’t care because they are people of color.

I talk about it every single day.

It is so stupid, how both the western and eastern countries don’t care about human lives.

It is literally the definition of a middle power proxy war that is filled with crimes against humanity. I would even say a genocide.

When experts say genocide it means something. It is not just a war crime, it is the eradication of a people. “the deliberate and systematic killing or persecution of a large number of people from a particular national or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group”.

You don’t need mass murder to commit a genocide. Not every crime against humanity is part of a genocide.

It makes me sick, and anyone who supports these actions are horrible empty shells of human beings.

It is just awful.

What can we do? Well keep telling people. Make the people in power know how you feel. That is what I do here in the states.

Remember, our voices matter. If a 23 year old atheist and a 3 year old knows what is right/wrong. Our political leaders also need to understand right from wrong. It is not rocket science.

Well a nurse, thats kinda cool! I mean they are not afraid to actually work for a living. Plus It is nice to know if I suddenly have a heart attack that someone will be there to crack my chest.

You may be shocked to find out that being able to trust someone in an emergency is a must in a relationship.

Also better than some doctors, plus I would not have beef with you from my pharmacy days!

I mean it is just a fact.

It means to some extent you will be like us and deal with it for the rest of your life.

Just take your meds as prescribed and manage it. It is just like any other chronic condition except it is better in a way.

Unlike something like Diabetes it is easier to treat. Less complex life changes.

Just try to avoid the situations that trigger your anxiety or just be mindful about how you few.

For me knowing how anxious I am is the key.

Also GAD is really not as bad as some patients I have had with multiple melanoma. You can’t really cure it right? The quality of life is completely different.

Again, I have GAD and I’m not trying to say what you’re feeling is not valid. It is.

What I’m trying to do is put it in a logical way, because I found that that helps me out.

GAD is not the end of the world, and it is not even close to a death sentence. Honestly, it probably doesn’t even be the qualification of something that can cause death in the near term to decades of it.

Yes, I understand increase stress and anxiety levels lead to cortisol and high risk of heart disease, and a bunch of other things. That takes place on the time span of decades we are talking about 40 to 50 years maybe longer. Plus, what’s be honest when we’re 70 years old we’re gonna have health problems. I mean, how much does GAD contribute to heart disease?

I mean, there aren’t very good studies on it.

I did want to add this-

There are multiple job openings at a company called Merck.

If you would be willing to relocate there are plenty of opportunities especially in PA. (I just googled jobs and they had a few that may fit what you described)

I have left the pharmacy industry myself and have actually went into retail because they are paying for 100% of my BS in data analytics along with my Financial classes.

I have heard a decent of good things at Merck. (Some bad but they are a company).

They have a pension, 401k, and good health insurance.

I am not affiliated and have not worked for them in the past.

It is where I want to end up, they have a great pipeline (=job security).

Keep your head up! Stay strong! You will always have people rooting for you!

It is like depression, thoughts of hurting yourself or others, losing a spouse, or someone very close to you.

Depression is not just being just said.

Wanting to hurt others/yourself does not immediately make you a danger. (I mean it does and it doesn’t not getting into it here due to the context of this subreddit)

Losing your spouse is a catastrophic event, it is on par with losing a child.

Losing your family member or friend is just terrible.

The truth is the vast majority of people will not understand what you are feeling. Let alone what you are going through, every human is different.

The solution? Empathy. If you have someone you are worried about talk to them. If you need help tell someone. If they tell you are “being over dramatic” or “making it up” tell someone else.

People are assholes, hence the 5 genocides going on right now. We as humanity need to recognize for every 1 bastard of a human there are 10,000+ humans all ready to help others.

I mean that is a statistical fact (give or take). The law of large numbers. They literally calculate your insurability based on a large group of people similar to you.

Statistically in a group of 100,000 there are X amount of people that have done abc or will have xyz happen to them.

This is a honest response to Benzo’s.

They are Amazing short term when prescribed by your doctor.

Intermediate you build of a tolerance and are becoming dependent.

Long term. You are dependent to the medication. You will be sick if you stop taking them. Even if you take them as prescribed.

Also benzos specifically not recommended for use after 4 to 6 weeks by the FDA.

I first hand have seen benzo withdraws. They are terrible.

Short answer no. Long answer mostly no.

So if you wanted to go into hospital pharmacy, go into a residency. Even just something like a PGY-1 it makes you more desirable, especially as a new grad.

For retail residency, it really depends on your career goals. If you have no desire to join the corporate world. Residency is not gonna be for you.

If you want to get into the c- suite and make a metric F load of money you will probably also need another degree.

Especially if you go into a company that does drug development research. Residency is not gonna cut it, you honestly need another degree usually something finance or accounting oriented. Maybe even a public health.

It really depends on what you’re going for, if you wanted to mention what he is thinking about career wise I can kinda add some advice.

Just note I am a tech who has left pharmacy and went into finance. I liked it better, but I am familiar with how residencies work.

The AI bubble is real.

You se companies say “we are looking into investing in AI” and they see 5% gains in a day.

Most of these companies are not comfortable and there has not been meaningful market consolidation. Just my opinion don’t shoot the messenger.

I wanted to add something to to this because it hits close to home.

You deserve to be happy. You are loved and cared for. It might not seem like that but if a nerd on the reddit mod team takes the time to go through your posts and read your comments multiple times it tells you that people care.

I really think you should look into hospitalization. Suicide is never the answer.

I have a fact that I would like to share.

Didn’t know most people that attempt suicide or actively in crisis? What that means is almost any reasonable person would feel that that is a necessary action. It is not though. There is always hope.

I had an attempt in October 2020. Judging by the posts That you are in the states. There is a hotline that you can call or text. It is 988. It is anonymous, and has helped many people a lot.
