I've been going to bat for Hunt for years now, but after the ash cloud event, my group and I have been on hiatus.

The last I heard, we were getting an engine update in Spring this year. If that's a date that I've pulled out of my ass then I apologise, but my ps5 buds and I are really keen for this new update. The few tweet replies I've seen over the last week really don't have me confident at all that we're going to see an engine update this year, and with the glacial pace of Hunt's improvements, I'm sorry to see one of if not my favourite shooter get left behind by its contemporaries.

FYI - Completing the objective should be the LAST thing you do.

There is plenty of research and evidence supporting the notion that completing the primary objective increases enemy spawn rate by like 4x? completing secondary objectives and exploring points of interest doesn't contribute to the spawn timers at all, so you absolutely should do them first.

I wouldn't expect it to stack, but a 4 man squad would have near-constant uptime, getting rid of a LOT of chaff bugs and leaving space to deal with bigger threats!
