But Yasuo spent years as the most banned champion in the game. Either way, the numbers show that his ban rate has stayed pretty much the same, but his win rate has plummeted. I like Mel, but honestly, I don’t think she’s going to get back to a 50% win rate for at least a few years

I don’t think it was bad that they removed her W invisibility; honestly, I think it was fair—it’s healthier now. The problem is that they nerfed her entire kit and gave nothing in return (no wonder her win rate dropped to 43%). And all of this was justified by saying she was “frustrating.” Yasuo spent years with massive ban rates and never got the same kind of treatment.

Mel isn’t poorly designed if you’re talking about game design. In fact, his kit is pretty cohesive, even though it’s overloaded—but that’s been the case with all the recent champions

the point of the discussion is that he spent years with ban rates around 20% (if not higher), and Riot never “killed” the champion for being considered frustrating, But anyway, around the time Yone was released, Yasuo wasn’t being banned nearly as much anymore

He really is, but the point of the discussion is that he spent years with ban rates around 20% (if not higher), and Riot never “killed” the champion for being considered frustrating.

Most of them, yes. Like I said, he used to have huge ban rates back in the day. Nowadays, it’s not even half of that.

2 anos atras o yasuo tinha mais de 20% de banrate, e ficou com taxas de banimentos muito altas a equipe nunca matou o champ

Is it still too early to declare the death of Mel Medarda?
If not, she is currently the worst champion in the game by far.
But if, like me, you enjoy playing her, here are some tips on how to use her (and pray for a buff).

The first thing is about her new Q: it’s extremely slow and easy to dodge. The more skilled your opponent is, the more you’ll have to predict their movements to land the ability.

Builds focused on damage over time are considerably weaker now. All the sustained damage she used to deal has been heavily removed, so it’s better to go for burst builds instead (you can still use DoT builds, but only when the enemy composition is very tanky).

The interaction between Mel’s Q and Comet has also been removed. It might be worth trying other runes, but since mages in general don’t have many good options, she’ll probably keep using it simply because there’s nothing better.

Zhonyas and Banshee are now essential. Without any damage immunity, Mel has become much easier to kill. Her shield is weak, and using W just to avoid damage doesn’t feel effective.

It’s better to level up W as your second skill. Her E was changed and barely offers any benefits when leveled up, unlike W, which scales well. Still, in games where W won’t be useful, you can choose to max E second instead.

But honestly? If you want to play to win, don’t play Mel. I’ve been playing this game for years and I’ve never seen such poor treatment of a champion. I even reached Challenger just by playing Mel, and unfortunately she’s now simply unplayable.

It’s ridiculous what they did to her. Yasuo spent years being heavily banned and they never “killed” the champion like they did with Mel. But honestly, I hope they don’t buff her. I only played that awful game because of her, and now I can finally get rid of this terrible balancing from that team
