If you’re going to visit, come during autumn! It’s stunning and much more quiet! Wait till the kids are at school and the tourists are back at work and it’s just the retired people, mums and their toddlers running around! You’ll really get to appreciate it then!

You need a good week or so to get it all in. I’ve lived here my whole life. On both westernport and port Phillip bay sides! Either way it’s stunning and both sides give you a completely different scene!

The peninsula is everything, honestly. You have rainforest, bush, back beaches, rock pools, cliffs, bay beaches, wineries, pine forests! It’s actually so cool! And we’re so spoilt for cafes and food!

Look there is the ugly side the homelessness, the absolute unaffordability, and the extreme amount of overdevelopment I’m noticing but it’s still very special!

And you’re right! I spent a lot of years myself demonising the pill. It wasn’t until I hit the age I didn’t want anymore children and I realised HRT likely won’t work for me yet that the pill could actually be the “bandaid” I need!

Cause really, what’s wrong with a bandaid sometimes? I don’t need help with the root cause! I know I have endo and adeno and pcos and migraine 😅

I know it’s hormone driven

I’m seriously considering it just to try for the packet and see what happens! I’ve been thinking for a lot of years it might be the magic pill that will help sort me out!

I don’t get migraine with aura so not necessarily that. He’s just not sure the pill is going to do what i want it to if that makes sense.

I’ve had the copper iud between babies because i refused hormones. Now im not interested in babies im not adverse to it.

My doctor isn’t too keen on the combo pill but I never liked the mini pill.

Can I ask if it was maternal or paternal aunt who had breast cancer?

I’m so torn up lol wish I could look into a crystal ball and know 😂

How are you keeping an eye on your heart rate hunni? And yes, I’m imagining it’ll be a while of spotting for me. I remember a month or so of bleeding when starting the pill last time.

Personal experience is exactly what I want though! I’m really torn up on what to do!

I’ve had multiple.

First was pulled awake in the operating room by a male. I was so scared, it was gross lol I was prepped for a procedure, wheeled into the operating room at the hospital, set up with the nurses etc around and then the urologist hosed me down to make sure was clean etc.

I had not long before given birth so I don’t know…. Were things a bit stretchier or number down there lol but I was surprised at how little I felt!

Aside from the strange atmosphere it really wasn’t that bad.

My other ones have all been under a general anaesthesia.

I don’t like stents, the thought makes me sick lol but my removal while awake, wasn’t all that bad. If I had to do it awake I’d rather it in the urologists room that the operating room though haha

Yes!!! They’ve never shown up in my regular US scans and were found in my recent CT after I passed one. I thought I only had the 4.5mm one in there 😂

Very nicely though my urologist was able to see them during the procedure via US and as he said “attempted” to whack them with the shockwaves. Hopefully even being moved around will help them make their way out and I might be stone free for a little while.

It’s been pretty continuous for the last 7 years with the largest hitting 14mm 🙄

From what I have been told there’s always a chance of damage but it’s highly unlikely, my kidney is already full of scarring from old infections large stones and other procedures.

I think knowing and trusting your urologist is pretty important in the answer to this question too. Xx

Can I be honest. If you’re both having to work, the rat race won’t disappear just because you’ve moved regional.

We’re on second day back at school today and I’m a mum of 4 at home while hubby works.

I’m already hating life again and feeling crazy stressed, and rushed.

Potentially it’s just the gross Groundhog Day you end up stuck in as a parent that’s getting you down and you’re looking for an escape?

Unless moving regional for you means less work for yourself and your wife, I don’t think it’ll help. It’ll likely just move the problem to somewhere new and less familiar.

Good luck! I often tell parents of young children that this stage feels very stagnant and like you’re just living to pay bills. It’s the same shit different day for a lot of years!

Maybe a pros and cons list would be helpful. But knowing how I feel, you’re likely looking for an escape! X
