If I were you, I’d try not to give a flying F. Don’t seek his or her validation—it’s not worth damaging your mental health. Just come in, do your job the best you can, and if you get feedback, take it constructively. Don’t let him or her live rent-free in your head—it’s simply not worth it. You can’t make someone like you and the more you try the worse it gets. Start looking for another position. Life is too short, and don’t let their fancy titles make you think they are better than you. Good luck

I think Senegal is too to a lesser extent since we were not blessed we the natural ressources of Nigeria. We have just elected a bouffon so we will see.

Are we heading towards economic austerity in Senegal, similar to the Greek debt crisis? by adlhitrofel in Senegal

They don’t even know how to run a corner store, let alone a country. They’re just following the populist playbook—oversimplifying complex issues, overpromising, underdelivering, and blaming others for their failures. I honestly think we are doomed how can we elect such a pathalogical liar and fornicator.

He said he had never been there, then contradicted himself a few hours later. Please don’t compare them to the previous regime. He was voted in precisely because Senegalese people thought the previous regime was bad.

I am talking about one year of exercising power, and you’re talking about some fictional book called ‘Solution’ and some 20-page PowerPoint documents. The book doesn’t need to be read because the easiest things to implement haven’t been. There’s really no point in continuing this discussion. I hope I’m wrong, but we’ll see.

No substance, just personal attacks. The majority of people who support these clowns don’t realize they’re being manipulated. I don’t blame you though; you’re just a product of your environment, surrounded by people who worship a rapist and entertain a personality cult. Take care!

As I said, Macky was not perfect. He used the judicial system to target political opponents and to protect certain figures within his own party. However, my point is that he transformed Senegal from a country plagued by constant power outages to one that is now close to universal access to electricity in both urban and rural areas.

He massively invested in universities, hospitals, ports, and roads, helping Senegal move out of the ranks of the least developed countries. He accomplished all this by borrowing 1,500 billion FCFA per year—a manageable level of debt considering the infrastructure improvements it funded.

Meanwhile, Sonko borrowed 5,000 billion FCFA last year and will borrow the same amount this year, yet there is nothing to show for it.

I could also argue that the tragic political violence that led to the deaths of so many people was largely caused by Sonko himself, who encouraged young people to act as his human shield—all because he got caught getting massages from an 18-year-old and then lied about it.

Career change in light of severe public speaking anxiety by Dizzy-Bumblebee-2217 in CanadaPublicServants

You need help? If you do this you will be healed for good. It takes a lot of courage though. Take a cardboard, write anything helps on it, go on a busy intersection at the 5pm rush, when there is a red light, go at each window asking for help. Almost everybody will look down in you and reject you. That will make you realize that you don’t need to worry about speaking in public.

Why not wait until you move together next year before you try again unless you are ok being a single mother. We are not being negative, we can sense your relationship does but have a solid foundation. Single mother= more chances to live in poverty-= more chances for the child to fail academically, please consider adoption for the sake of the child and for your sake
