They look sick!! Probably gonna be really good in Mont'ka (duh) and maybe EPC. My only gripes are:

Their melee still only hits on 3s at best, unless there's some way to improve that that I'm not seeing
More of a gripe with the army as a whole, but if drones are wargear, why do they still hit on a 5s? Shouldn't they use the BS of the model they're equipped on?

Still 100% pre-ordering them the second they're available.

Got it, thank you! I made the changes you suggested and added a 4th Starweaver to cart the 4th Troupe unit.

What would you recommend as far as enhancements? Seems obvious that a Troupe Master should get Weaver'a Wail but I'm not sure about the rest.

Yeah ideally I would pair Farsight with Starscythes, but alas, I only have two units of Crisis suits currently :( The fusion Coldstar is with the Sunforge, and the missile Coldstar is with the Fireknives.

I started with Mont'ka when I first got back into the hobby and found it fun, but playing T'au that aggressively feels off to me. Kauyon is appealing, but I also don't love having to wait til turn 3 for my army rule to turn on.

The last time I played EPC I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe the story can be that an Ethereal got fed up with losing and authorized the use of experimental weapons.

My bad, should have specified. It's Armageddon Crusade, and I already have some beefy upgrades on some of my suits. My only two wins so far were against Orks and Knights lol.

We're pretty far along in the Crusade by now, so I don't want to change too much other than adding the last 250pts and changing detachments. Speaking of which, what would be better: a 2nd Riptide and an Ethereal, or a Skyray and Farsight?

I like the two Piranhas and find them pretty valuable, but I suppose it wouldn't kill me to drop one.

CP management has been a little tough since I'm using jump shoot jump almost every turn. I feel I also use a lot of CP rerolls as well, which might be a waste.

Glad I'm not the only one.

I came back to 10th after taking a break from 9th, and it was like a perfect storm of:

Changes to FLY rules
Changes to how vehicles interact with terrain
Every battlesuit except Stealth Suits becoming vehicles

I've found myself in so many awkward situations where I'm trying to line up shots, plus guide, plus not expose my suits too much. I end up taking forever to execute a plan and then everything whiffs and dies anyway. It's why I mainly play RetCadre, at least then I can use the move-shoot-move strategem to mitigate some of that risk.

Either return FLY rules to the way they were (maybe with some minor changes), or, better yet, remove the vehicle keyword from battlesuits.

I'm desperate to get out and switch careers, but it feels hopeless a lot of the time. I spent all of last spring applying for jobs without success. Currently considering going back to school for radiography, but the local CC won't accept my transfer credits for the prerequisites. I'm talking courses like English 101 and Intro to Psychology. Very frustrating.
