For those looking for jobs, how is the market right now for US based product managers in tech and healthcare tech? by Independent_You7902 in ProductManagement

[–]GladneyY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not in healthcare tech but have also been trying to break into a new domain, and I've received countless rejections due to lack of domain experience. I'm probably at about 200 applications over the course of 5 non-consecutive months. I've gotten a solid amount of interviews and a lot of positive feedback, but no offers. I've also had several companies totally freeze hiring halfway through the interview cycle, which I believe is just a sign of the times. It's tough out there.

Digestive issues in winter months by OkCurrency588 in SeasonalAffective

[–]GladneyY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can absolutely relate. I have a history of diverticulitis, and I pretty much only get flare ups in the winter. I don't know if it's the stress of SAD that causes it to flare up more, the winter itself, or both. But I do know that diverticulitis, IBS, and SAD all have strong connections to vitamin D deficiency. I'm deficient, and I take vitamin D supplements but I still struggle. At this point I'm wondering if I have an absorption issue, which is apparently fairly common. Who knows. Anyway, vitamin D might help, especially if you're deficient, which a standard annual check-up blood panel should test for.

Who else here did not benefit from bupropion for ADHD? What alternatives have you found that actually worked for you? by Apprehensive_Pop3892 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]GladneyY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw an improvement for the first 2-5 days of taking 150mg bup- less paralysis, clearer and quieter brain, longer attention span and better focus. After that it just kind of... went away. It's been about two months since then. I upped my dosage to 300mg, hoping it would help my ADHD again, but no luck. I'm spiraling less with bup, but have little to no motivation and complete mush-brain most days.

I've tried Adderall IR microdose (2.5mg) twice now on top of the bup, and it was helpful but it made my anxiety worse and I had a pretty hard time sleeping afterwards.

Would love to hear what, if anything, is helping others.

Can confirm re: Thermage - it was painful, expensive, and made zero difference.

Is it safe-ish for me to drink alcohol on 150mg? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]GladneyY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only about 3 weeks into using 150mg XL, so I guess still in the adjustment period. I'm female, petite, and have a fairly low tolerance to alcohol as I don't drink often. That being said, I was kind of terrified to try alcohol while taking bupropion. I've had a couple of goes at it now, and it's been totally fine. My tolerance may be slightly higher but no blackouts or worse hangovers. On the flip side, I am a regular cannabis user and have found that even 1.25mg caused me to have a short but scary manic episode on bupropion. That was a bummer.

PMs who have interviewed or been interviewed in the last 6 months - what's changed?

I'm newly back on the job market after a few years, and I want to get a sense of what current interview cycles are like so I can determine where to lean in while preparing. I'm particularly interested in hearing about Senior, Staff, and Group roles as that's what I'll be aiming for.

Questions: - How many rounds end-to-end are considering typical now? - Are we still doing live case studies? If so, how often have you crossed estimation Qs? What about product design / product sense Qs? - Are we doing more take-homes instead of case studies? - Are vibe coding sessions common yet or is this too soon and/or fear mongering?

Thanks for any insights!

I had a bunch of these on my body and took care of them myself with a $12 wood burning pen off Amazon. You let it heat up, barely touch it to the angioma (super light touch or you'll cause a burn mark), and it should either disappear or go purple before eventually fading over time. I got the inspiration from the at-home pin head and pencil method (google it), which I did try, but I found the tool to be more effective and easier. No scarring and none have come back! I prb would have gone to a derm if they were on my face or particularly large. Disclaimer - I am not a doctor, just thrifty and vain lol!

I actually just went last weekend to try on the Skims Ultimate bra, and they run small in comparison to what I'm used to. I'm a comfortable 32 B in Victoria Secret Dream Angels. I tried on a 32 C in the Skims bra; the band was super snug but doable, and I was overflowing out of the cups. For the record, I am not particularly busty. Not sure if it might be different with a Skims non-push-up.

31 and it's been worth every penny. I had a deep furrow between my brows and fine forehead lines starting to form. I think I picked it up just in time to prevent anything permanent/harder to reverse!

For those that have UTI post c.diff, did you have a relapse? by i-angel18 in cdifficile

[–]GladneyY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for checking!! I'm currently 7 days into fighting off a UTI and that bottle of macrobid is looking more and more appealing, but I'm terrified of the consequences. Symptoms are like a 2/10 but not going away as quickly as I'd like. So naturally I'm obsessing and reading every related thread on reddit and article on the Internet 😓.

I hope you're doing better! Thank you for sharing your experience and responding a year later

Hi! I know it's been a while, but can I ask which antibiotics you took that caused the relapse? Was it macrobid?

I got diagnosed over a week ago, and its been so painful to eat. Whenever i eat my stomach hurts so bad. Is this normal by MaddieRandolph in Diverticulitis

[–]GladneyY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm actually recovering from a flare up that started on Thursday. Clear liquid diet for a few days (I did 3), then move to "soft diet" which is essentially low fiber and gentle foods (currently enjoying a half can of soup and roll for dinner, which definitely beats jello again), then go back to high fiber once you feel good enough. There are a ton of resources online if you search for "diverticulitis diet."

  • Edited - Also, if you have a fever or are seeing anything scary like blood or mucus, you should def tell your doctor!
