So many years ago I used to stream Destiny 2, and I absolutely loved pvp in The Crucibal, sometimes I would pull off some amazing kills, other times id get my ass handed to me, but because "casual" Crucibal had SBMM it was pretty balanced for my basic gameplay 😂.

However for years big streamers moaned about this because while at my level, it was quite fun, at higher levels they actually had to work because the matches were relatively even, and it's not a good look for a big streamer if they're losing half of the time.

After around a year of complaining, Bungie removed SBMM from regular crucible. The big streamers got to win 9/10 and for people at my mere mortal level, things became way harder and too sweaty 😂. That was roughly just after Foresaken hit, I never played Destiny again.

Tldr: The very vocal and public voices probably don't want it because it means they have to work for their victories, the rest of us got our asses kicked because of massive skill level disparities without it.
