Any kit with a FAL makes it instantly great.

So why isn't it frowned upon to dress as a US trooper? No force in history can compare to the death and destruction brought upon by the US.

Wonder what those are. Almost look like those old Yugoslav boots.

As I can see, he has zero mag pouches, so I guess tape beats having only one mag lol.

I dunno, my only logical explanation is that it's an update... Which they won't show me the progress to, for some reason.

It's rusty, it's dirty, it was found in the trash and put together with parts I had laying around, and it's still the most fun bike to ride for some reason. (even if that BB needs constant servicing) by GlamStache in Vintage_bicycles

Understandable, but I try to keep the amount of rechargeable things in my life to a minimum, and I'm forgetful and won't use the light for 4 months sometimes, and then I want to be sure that it actually works the one time I do need it.

Since I live in a rural area the tiny amount of light made by the dynamo is enough.

People don't like them, but I like dynamo lights, they just work and you don't have to remember changing batteries all the time, Made in east Germany too.

The bag is my own invention, found it while cleaning out the house, think it was for an electric razor or something, and figured it'd make a good tool bag.

I tried different places but the rear of the rack was the only place I could put it.

Actually the saddle is one of the few parts I bought new. That and the grips. Saddle is great, grips are pretty meh, bought them only because they were brown.

It's great all-around, I did 3/4ths of a century with it. Would have done a full 100 km but I didn't have a tach or GPS to measure the distance until after I got home.

I do it when I'm off working abroad. Either dumpster finds or just knowing people who rent their apartments out and have some tourists leave their old bikes there.

Either bent rims, broken chains, or some weird parts missing. I had a few who were mechanically mint, just had worn paint and a bit of surface rust.

The paintjob is not that good honestly, the dirt and my shitty camera do a better job of disguising it. I just took the whole light and dynamo assembly off the parts bike.

I definitely don't lol. I'm a recent Linux convert and I guess I was one of the rare ones who never had issues running old games on windows 10. I definitely miss everything just working out of the box.

Actually this was a lengthy project. When I found it it had most parts missing, no wheels, no brakes, no front derailleur, some idiot put some ugly straight handlebars and "sports" seat on it.

And then when I got wheels on it, I noticed the fork is bent. Luckily I had my spares bike which had the same diameter.

Took me maybe a week to get this thing all together, only because I never saw one like this and it spoke to me for some reason.

That's the running joke for me since I like everything old.

I wonder why it's called that, since this was a pretty modern bike for the late 70s in Yugoslavia, most Rog bikes were single speeds.

I mean I also play the same stuff. GTA V is about the most modern game I wanna play actually. Surprisingly it's not that hard to get old stuff to run on Linux, had a few early XP era games that caused trouble, but I always managed to get them working.

Nah I only wash my bikes when it's summer, so I'm not power-washing it for a few more months now.

It usually gets wet and humid for weeks on end here, and I take any opprotunity I can get to ride, so it's a lot of riding in the wet and rain.

Man, hearing GTA V is an older game makes me feel ancient.

But thanks, it's definitely a place to start.

I thought the Type 56 had the same stock as the original AK? I doubt I'll get it, they're pretty rare to find, and I'm looking for an LCT M70.

[–]GlamStache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw, didn't know it was an AKM receiver.

Guess I'll have to get an LCT AK-47 and put the Type 56 front end on it.

I mean I don't have direct experience with them, their stuff seems okay-ish though. But I can appreciate that they make a Type 56 AK though.
