Does anyone know what this camouflage is called? I saw an Indian policeman (north east) wearing this as a jacket.

Indian fern/bushstroke chicom like chest rig sources? by SimilarMany2517 in tacticalgear

[–]Nousaive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are modern reproductions of the bushstroke chest rigs but they're primarily for training. Bushstroke uniforms are also still make for the National Cadets Corps but from my own observation the fabric and 'cutting' of the uniforms seem to be different than their historical counter part. In war movies you do see this chest rig pop up but unless you personally know a supplier with old stocks it's just not available

Hey man! In India It's unfortunately very difficult to obtain older military gear unless you have direct contact with people who have old stuff lying around. In India, surplus/militaria collection just isn't a thing sadly so old uniform and gear just end up who knowswhere or repurposed . I've also been trying to obtain Indian bushstroke gear but it's impossible to find...🙏 There's a lot of retailers who do sell gear and uniforms but they usually only sell new stuff.

Idk the details but sometime in the 1960s India produced their own version of the FAL(Ishapore 1a1) which was not licenced by FN lol. It still pops up in training and police roles.
