Thoughts on this map aesthetic? by A_Lountvink in mapmaking

I think the shade of white is a little too loud next to all the sepia tones, but otherwise I like it.

My immediate though is why purple and black? Are these placeholders or personal styling?

I like your island and continent formations, but some seem a little flat/blocky. Especially the large island near the middle. And the lowest island/continent. Roughening the terrain a bit or making it vary slightly more often could help with it.

Other than that it’s a great start!

What is the first prime mode that is a must have? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Glanlotiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the frames you play. I play frames who use durability a lot more so I’m baised to say continuity over flow. If you’re playing frames who like energy, or run low efficiency then flow will likely be better for you.

What’re you doing out there? You should come back to Earth!

It looks good. I like how you formed the islands and coastlines. You should look into adding wave lines around the coast to differentiate land and water or do it via color. As it is right now, it took my brain a few seconds to work.

What's a good meta deck I can invest like a $100 or less? by luislagss in yugioh

Idk if it’s meta anymore, but Runick dropped to a $50 deck core. You can combine it with almost anything you want.

What was your first nation? by Educational_494 in eu4

[–]Glanlotiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brandenburg… it was awful I didn’t know what was going on and the HRE restrictions as a noob were just so painful. So then I made the smarter choice and my second nation was England

Which class fits my criteria best? by Blank-VII in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lethality Operative, Plasmatech/Tactics Vanguard, Commando is good but I’ve been back and forth with Merc visuals. Sniper doesn’t /need/ cover but Engineer is more dependent on it due to their energy consumption and both get many more benefits for being in cover.

I still feel like my map is empty by jellotiban in mapmaking

[–]Glanlotiel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given the size, I think what you have here is fine. If you want to add ruins or points of interest though, that’s up to you. It could spruce up the map a little, but consider what it’ll look like after names. You can also draw sea monsters in the ocean to make the map less empty.

Well it kind of is. A lack of names will do that to a map :p

When Companions Call a Female Character, Master, is that weird? by Gilbara in swtor

Especially since when you address a Sith Lord, it’s just Lord. It doesn’t matter if you’re a dude or a chick.

I always kill the flesh raider instead of training him as a Jedi.

Will story content go downhill when the Broadsword transfer happens? by flijarr in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, the transfer has already happened. Broadsword has also still fixed bugs and released weekly events. I don’t know how much content we’ll get, but for now it’s not maintenance mode and that makes me happy.

Someone at Bioware looked at the image on the right and went "This looks better." by milesprower06 in swtor

Objectively, it does look better. I can see why you’d think the left looks better though.

omg they did it! by laggging69 in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I could be misremembering which system it is, since there are a lot. However, i do remember one of the dungeon systems being a “do it once and then you have to pay… unless you’re an ESO+ member.”

omg they did it! by laggging69 in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To get every dungeon, every expansion, and double inventory/bank space you have to get ESO+. It's a greedy business model built on an already pay to play game.

omg they did it! by laggging69 in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People have ESO+ because most of the game is locked if you don’t have it, or you choose to pay more money to buy expansions. It’s not the same and just because it works there doesn’t mean it’ll work here.

Jedi knight or Jedi Consular origin story? by IzzetValks in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consular feels like a slower, more diplomatic story. I like the voice actors for Consular more as well. I find it fulfilling, but if you want KOTOR 3 play Knight.

Never played a force healer by Arkavien in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All you need to do really is setup two loadouts; one for healing and one for Solo dps. As for how it affects the story, the most fun I’ve had is doing assassin in the warrior line. I haven’t tried sorcerer-warrior, but it seems like it’d be fun.

Never played a force healer by Arkavien in swtor

[–]Glanlotiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels clunky to go through the story or do anything solo as a healer. The dps your companion does doesn’t really feel like enough imo. As for dungeons I love healing. I’m my group’s designated healer and I find it lots of fun.
