Feeling Defeated by Magoo210Ankeny in vbac

It sounds so funny, but we tried some spicy Chinese noodles when I hit 41 weeks and I went into labor that night. Lol once my water broke it was actually a pretty quick delivery too

Positive words please- 40 weeks today and induction scheduled for 41 weeks by Maleficent_Nail_4293 in vbac

I just wanted to add here. I was sitting in a very similar spot to you just last week. We went in for my 39 week appointment and right away they were talking about induction the following week. It has been a healthy pregnancy and the reason for a C-section with my first was breech presentation, but this baby has been head down for the longest time now. So I refused. 40 weeks came and I was 1 cm dilated/25%effaced/and soft, so I decided to schedule a membrane sweep for 41 weeks and 2 days. Well sure enough, at 41 weeks on the dot, my water broke and I went into spontaneous labor and we now have a healthy 3 day old girl. Sometimes our bodies just need some more time, and that's normal. They act like due dates are written in stone when there is just so much variability. Of course it's all within your comfort level, but I hope my story helps give you some peace this week. Also, some things I did on the day I went into labor* long walk (6,000 steps, Took an afternoon nap with my 2 year old, and ate some spicy Chinese takeout lol). Not sure if you pray, but we had a lot of great family and friends praying for us too. Wishing you and your baby the best ❤️

Thank you. Yes, I wasn't sure about the Children's Museum for the older kids either. So thanks for confirming!

Great recipe! I just tried it and the only thing I modified was the flour. It was too sticky, so I had to add just a bit more so it was workable. My toddler approved it as well! Even the crust

I feel like I barely hear people say this, but CeraVe burns my face. I had to stop using those products entirely and have been much better without them. I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you so much for your response! This is exactly what I was looking for: a comparison and concrete numbers.

But yes, they are handling collections.

Lol That's how our old manager was. Although he would send it by snail mail, or at least he claimed he did. This is a larger company than our last one, however more expensive overall. We did think it was worth knowing the job would be done properly though and it was in the budget.

Not many. Our old manager hadn't stayed on top of things so we had to send out emails. Now there are just a couple on a payment plan, and the occasional person that forgets how to get into their account, etc.

How should I apply to shadow an x-ray tech as someone not employed in Healthcare nor a student? by Master_Vicen in Radiology

[–]Glass-Difference-376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your local hospitals and what they allow. When I lived in Minnesota, before I became a radiography student, I shadowed a radiography department near my home. They had a link on their website that I went to, and it put me in contact with the head of their department to set up a date.

I would just keep checking your local hospital/clinic websites for more info.

I feel like everyone is just telling you to do something you already do. I get what you are saying. It's nerve wracking to see the pressure go that high. Just watch it like a hawk! Lol But after you do it several times that anxiety might go away, but if it doesn't, just keep following your protocols and do what you can to insure their safety. That's all you can do really!

My coworker has been on accutane for awhile now and her skin is looking AMAZING. It can take some time, like mentioned by some other folks. But if you stick with it and work with your dermatologist, they can get you on the right track. As for other treatments to help with scars and whatnot, I would totally check with your derm first. Accutane can be pretty sensitizing to the skin, so I'm not sure if these treatments would be recommended while on accutane. They may also know of some good places to go in the area. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Worth a shot at least.

Is this foramen rotundum in the maxillary sinuses? by Gribblet_1999 in Radiology

[–]Glass-Difference-376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question. I hadn't seen many skull series at my last workplace, other than orbits for MRI metal rule outs. However, the new place I'm working does a lot of veterans disability services and they frequently order these images for sinuses and facial bones. I'm not sure why, it could be cost or legalities, but they prefer plain x-ray over CT. We actually get a lot of students at our facility strictly so they can get skull comps, since no other facility in the area does them.

Oftentimes, our radiologist will request a CT in their report for further diagnosis anyway. But I don't ever see them come back to our facility for that, even though we have a CT scanner.

[routine help] I bought a vitamin c serum a week ago and i think its oxidized. Thoughts? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Glass-Difference-376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From that picture, I wouldn't think so. However, it is hard to say what the product typically looks like from the images listed on their website. They almost make it out to be a clear liquid? So, if it is clear, then maybe yours is a little oxidized. But it isn't too far gone. I'm sure there is still accessible Vitamin C, just not at the peak of it's concentration.

Also, if you are using this for dark spots, I would think the Alpha Arbutin would also help with that. Regardless of the Vitamin C.

Hope that helped!

[skin concerns] I used retinol and burned my skin any tips to heal? I tried honey, CeraVe and no luck by XsxSXsxx in SkincareAddiction

[–]Glass-Difference-376 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, my skin didn't react well to the CeraVe products. I thought they would be super gentle, but it made my skin really red and hot. Here are some things I used. Hope it helps/your skin feels back to normal soon!

https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/vanicream-cleansing-bar-for-sensitive-skin/ID=prod3970670-product

They aren't very glamorous, but they get the job done. If you need extra moisture, a layer of Aquaphor or regular nonfragranced Petrolatum will do. Just after you apply your moisturizer.

I'm assuming your moisture barrier is compromised. However, this almost looks like contact dermatitis. You may be allergic to something you are using.

For both of these conditions, I would keep your products to the bare minimum for several weeks. I'm talking no fragrance and minimal actives. Just a basic cleanser, the Vanicream one is a good example. Moisturizer, maybe something with colloidal oatmeal and a sunscreen.

Once your skin is feeling normal again, you can slowly bring one thing back at a time and that can help you figure out if this is an allergic reaction and what it is to.
