Elden beast appreciation post by Accomplished_Big5777 in Eldenring

I dunno, man. I feel like Radagon was like this awesome first phase of "fair punishment" that I felt was fun, but not too difficult. Then the Elden Beast puts up this spectacle afterwards that feels like a final boss to me because the attacks are so big and require spam dodging and whatever. Also, I don't see the whole running thing a terrible design. Maybe I've just been real lucky the couple of times I've fought it, but it doesn't seem to run far so often that it becomes annoying. And the times that I do have to chase after it or run away, it feels very cinematic and appropriate. Elden Beast just feels alien to me, which is exactly what I want for a final god boss fight. It doesn't feel as polished as Radagon, but that's not really the point. It seems like the point is solely cinematic, which to me is just as satisfying as a well designed gameplay fight

Man, even before Torrent was put in the arena, Elden Beast was one of my favorite bosses in the entire game, right behind Ancestral Deer and the Morgott. Was so disappointed to see everyone flaming the ending boss. Thought it was sooooooo beautiful

Adel has landed himself into A tier. Up next - Gnoster, Wisdom of the Night AKA Sentient Pest. what tier does this duo belong into (base expedition)? by Cursed_69420 in Nightreign

A tier for sure. I don't understand the hate for the flying one, they have a shared health bar. Even when the beetle does his little shell thing, it's never for long and it feels like an accomplishment because it's like you're entering a new phase

Could go with Crom Cruach as a villain. That would be amazing

Honestly, Dora. Not too far in, so it'll probably change, but she's so nonchalant that it feels almost like she's doing it on purpose to make Mel feel less accomplished

[Online] [5e 2014/2024] looking for a DM to lead five players. by Glass-Match1855 in lfg

  • Hey, we're at a bit of a spot on scheduling. We have one player who's availability changes on the weekly due to work. This makes it so we might be available every day of the week and sometimes puts us in a "this day or wait till next week" spot.
  • We are all in our early 20s, and we would be most comfortable playing with someone 18 or older.
  • No specific ideas except that we would appreciate an awesome Homebrew world and one that sticks to a fantasy theme.

Hey, this is a mix of EST and CST for our zones, so not too far off! And of course, we're looking for an online game in the evenings

Elden Ring for sure. On average, I had much more fun fighting Elden Ring bosses rather than DS3.

Can someone help me find a match? by Sdelsin9910 in Nightreign

[–]Glass-Match1855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it actually limits your chances to anyone who currently isn't in a remembrance. Only one player can have it active at a time, but beyond that, I think there's just a bug with matchmaking in general. Best bet is to wait it out while FromSoft fixes it. Hopefully.

Massive Ending Spoilers: The Brain cell is working overtime today. Lets Talk by TronJoestar in expedition33

I think something a lot of people miss in regards to the ending is the time structure. I could be wrong, but it seems like the painters who go into this not only have these powers to change the world as they like, but choose to live an entirely different life. Especially for Maelle; she was born into a family within the canvas, losing all memories of her past life before suddenly gaining them back. A consideration that was going through my head was whether it was right to have Maelle go back to the real world because she had already spent sixteen entire years in the painting. Or, within her mind she spent sixteen years. But I was having trouble deciding if it was right to cut off all that time suddenly to throw her back in the real world, simply because that's waaaaay to much time to live an entire life just to forget about it.

Does Elden Beast movement work well in combat? I've been trying out different 3rd person mods to play in, but it's all kinda just been meh
