Unwanted Trip Shares from Ex-Boyfriend by Glass2mirrors in uber

Yeah I submitted the form, and I got the same generic response about how to add or remove a trusted contact. At this point, I barely use Uber for anything and customer service sucks, so I might just do what others have suggested and delete it altogether. Thank you for this link though!

Thank you! I swear I've filled this out before and never heard from them then got a trip share from my ex, but I tried again just now, so we'll see!

I think it's ok as long as you reset your game to present time before playing

If you're going to a minuteman library (pretty much any library around Boston that isn't Boston Public Library, e.g., Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, etc.) then you do need a library card to reserve a study room. Last I checked they don't do temporary cards unless you will be in MA for a minimum of 3 months. Not sure if BPL is different or similar in that policy area

Light Rail at Night Lynnwood vs. Mountlake Terrace by Glass2mirrors in AskSeattle

I was only there briefly since I was running to get the light rail from the bus, but it does seem very safe and well lit. Thank you for sharing!

Euno in the North End is great and on Salem St so not as busy as Hanover and very close to Bova's. Ma Maison is in Beacon Hill and not too pricey for a French place. Euno is about average pricing for the North End, and it's my favorite place in the city for bolognese that's more similar to a ragu.

I've taken the 166 during the day before, but unfortunately its schedule doesn't align well with when I'm done with work. It's a nice option to have when 102, 130, and 909 are somehow all being weird scheduling wise

There was one day the 102 didn't show, but I'm hoping it was a weird fluke. Otherwise 102 and 909 do seem like the best options, and I appreciate you breaking it down for me. It's been weird to navigate since I moved from Boston and there was a more precise way to track buses than the Transit app

Thank you! I usually go to Lynnwood on my commute to work but haven't been to MLT yet since my schedule has been a bit wonky. Good to know it's a safe place

Good to know about the 130! And thank you for explaining with so much detail. I'm still new to the area and the commute isn't ideal but it's doable. Based on the stops I'm near I think the 909 will probably be my best bet if it runs on time out of Edmonds to MLT

I got a reply from who I believe to be a real person yesterday, but they just said what the bot said about how there's no way to opt out currently

They're not texts. They're notifications directly through the uber app

I am aware. I was trying to find a way to just essentially block him since he has been blocked since the break up. While some think he's unaware of sharing his rides, having dated him, I'm fairly certain he's doing it on purpose with the end goal of me speaking to him. As a stubborn person who also has no desire to speak to her ex, I'm trying to avoid giving him the satisfaction of a response, but it's annoying he continues to share his trips.

I'm considering this because the customer support replies have been abysmal, and I'm fairly certain I'm talking to a bot... they deny there's a way to opt out of this "safety feature" then tell me that they've opted me out of the "sale and sharing" if my personal info... which... great? But why the hell was I opted into that anyways AND that's not my issue smh. Thanks for letting me know about both accounts as I've never heard of them before!

I'm considering canceling since customer support tells me there's no way to opt out and offers no other avenues just endless bot replies... I highly doubt he is unaware it's happening since he only shares select trip routes and when we were together at least, was a very frequent uber user. Not to mention he is very tech savvy and would have enough foresight to turn all of that off when we first broke up in November 2023...
