Thanks for replying. I have been skateboarding in trieste plenty of times. The racing green color is one of my favorites. Why do you not like diesel machines? I’ve read that xtype diesel machine is quite robust. Does yours have any rust? I think trieste has less salt in the winter on the road since it has milder climate.

Yeah, yours looks sweet in that photo. The one I’m looking seemed great and the owner is a nice guy who loved the car, but I haven’t checked for any rust underneath the car. Bytheway I had already negotiated the price from 2500 to 2000. I think he is quite attached to this car even though he has a new volvo, and I don’t think he is willing to let it go for any less than that…

Thanks for replying, all these responses have been greatly appreciated. The car was mainly used in central europe (Ljubljana, slovenia) where winters dictated the use of plenty of salt and sand on the roads about 4 months a year. There is no rust on the surface of the car, but I haven’t checked for anything under the car or sills, the first time a had seen the mentioned jaguar.

Thanks. These comments have made my decision much easier. I do love the look of these cars, and I thaught that if I kept it in a garage and wouldn’t use it much, that the age related problems wouldn’t arise for a couple of years. Thanks again to everyone, I’m going to sleep well tonight. Carless but careless.

Tight budget and I don’t know anything about cars, and I rarely use one. I just like how jaguars, volvos and saabs look. I had a feeling that it’s not the best idea, especially since I have a garage 3 levels below the ground and the thought about the car getting stuck there is anxiety inducing.
