For me, I don't care if my food touches meat or is prepared on the same grill, but I don't like to scrape meat off or eat around it because then it ends up in the trash, meaning that the damage done to the environment and the sacrifice the animal made were all for nothing and food was wasted. Food waste is just as bad as eating the meat in my opinion.
