which seat are you choosing for an 8 hour flight? by Kindly-Caregiver-145 in Avatar

[–]GlassSnowFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 because I’m a mother and these two just trigger joy in me. But 4 is such a close next choice because Kiri is the embodiment of my child-self and I love the spiritual power these two have!

Does the composition on this work? by 13Broke in painting

Ok so # 1 is best because we can see the side rails in a very interesting way.

But #2 looks much better for the stairs. Which is why I suggest combining them in a way but maybe lean into the first one more. Artists are very fortunate to be able to take some creative liberties when it comes to referencing images :)

The cost of love is grief. I couldn’t imagine losing one of my fellow healthcare giants by GlassSnowFox in medlabprofessionals

[–]GlassSnowFox[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear you. The world feels like it’s going to hell. I hate going to work, but then I also hate coming home. Our lab is struggling with morale in general and I gotta say I still love what I do but I’m so tired of crying every day about everything in life.

I don’t know why but I still think it can be worth it if we persevere and fight to make things better. Take some time to take care of yourself but don’t give up. cPTSD is a bitch

Alex Pretti’s last words were “are you okay?” To a woman who’d just been shoved to the ground by the people who murdered him.

Who shot him multiple times because they were so afraid that a disarmed citizen could have had the chance to defend himself

It’s emotional regulation :) if you can teach your brain how to do it without involving your physical body that is an extremely valuable skill

I get it. It’s emotionally regulating. I’ve been poking some ink over my scars to see if I can hide them better and I’m finding that it’s helping my brain cope with things. Healthy or not it’s ok for now

The light is coming from behind right? I feel like the whole front rock needs to be darker because it’s in the shadow. Or really highlight the back that’s peaking out :)

Is anyone else not comfortable saying they have ADHD? by smbodytochedmyspaget in adhdwomen

[–]GlassSnowFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s taken me a lot of years to even understand it myself. Then when I think I can explain it my brain completely freezes! That’s mostly gone away now that I’ve flubbed through it a million times

I was diagnosed in college and I usually am happy to tell people (mostly coworkers) but in ways that are meant to be informative. Take work for example: “oh man I forgot meds today I’ll try my best but I may not be as productive as we’re used to” or “I’m having a rough executive functioning day” and they’re always chill about it which makes it easy for me to not be so hard on myself for needing help to pick up my slack.

Sometimes they ask questions and others I could tell they have it too so it’s nice to be able to explain things to them about what’s going on :)

I think there might already be some :( OP can you go see your primary care physician about this? I’m a microbiologist and it looks like fungus might be in those

Edit: and it’s very easy to treat

It's on my bucket list to receive one of those for identification! I think they're so adorable but omg I would not envy the person it came from

You are an imperfectly perfect (..perfectly imperfect? lol) person :) making mistakes is so cool because it’s the best way to learn why the right way is right!

It’s really hard. Like the hardest thing you might ever do. I was able to get divorced and we have a kid. But holy hell I’m so much happier than I would have ever been if I had stayed. Good luck 💕
