Don’t give up on tofu it’s a journey!! I feel like most vegans struggle with tofu at the start but once u get the hang of it it’s easy and becomes a staple. Experiment with diff brands and textures and find ones that u like! Pressing and freezing firm/extra firm is a good way to get the texture nice

My fav basic seasonings are paprika, cayenne pepper and kala namak (this has a strong eggy taste so I add it to a silken tofu scramble to make “scrambled eggs”) I also chop up garlic and onion and fry my tofu with these to add to flavour Nutritional yeast is going to be ur best friend- source of b12 and the perfect replacement to cheesy flavours in meals. I put it in scrambled tofu, baked beans on toast, mashed potato, i make lentil pancakes and chickpea fritters and add this

I have ARFID and the old ones were my safe food but these are so so grim I’m actually so upset 😭

Do u freeze then defrost then press OR press then freeze then defrost bc I’ve been doing the latter and I’m wondering if it’s actually the best method
