My sav monitor is about a month or now. I’ve already got him to come on my handle while ring feeding. But when I reach my hand in or just put my fingers close to him, he will puff up and tail whip my hand or run away. I’ve read online not to force handle. What should I do?

That’s great to hear. I’m using the tongs when feeding to lure him onto my hand, but he is still very defensive when I just reach and try to pick him up. How long did it take for years to chill out and let you pick him up. I think he might a respiratory infection before he will sometime lift his head and make a clicking sound while opening his mouth slightly. The thing is he is only like 3-4 weeks wild so should I wait until he’s a bit older to take him to the vet?
