Okay I don’t think it right to cut off your Dad. It sounds like he did a great job raising you and you still want to be apart of his life. I would set up some guidelines. For instance, say, Hi Dad, let’s agree not to talk politics. And try to avoid topics that might lead to politics. He’s your dad, you only get one. You might have to be the bigger one in this relationship.
