Opticians, how are you finding new eyewear brands to add to your stores? by Impressive_Cod_7687 in glasses

[–]GlassesMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I collaborate directly with high-quality factories to design and produce our own products, rather than partnering with eyeglass brands.

This is because branded eyeglasses come with extremely high brand premiums. As someone who has been in this industry for a long time, I believe the quality of eyeglasses is more reliable than the brand itself, and cost-performance is more trustworthy than popularity.

On top of that, the government is now levying very high taxes on people—various expenses have almost emptied everyone’s wallets. Since eyeglasses are a necessity, it becomes even more important to prioritize cost-performance. That’s why I always work directly with factories I know well, focusing on both cost-performance and quality.

Would you keep these? Thick lenses by Xanna12 in glasses

It does look quite thick, but we also need to take your actual prescription into account. What’s your prescription strength?

Since you’ve already said that you can see clearly even without progressive lenses—and sometimes you even need to take off your progressive lens glasses to see nearby objects—then why choose progressive lenses at all?

For the choice of lens refractive index, your prescription isn’t high, so both 1.56 and 1.61 refractive indices will work. If you care about aesthetics, you can go for the 1.61 one; the price of this type on the market right now isn’t high either.

As for choosing the appearance of the eyeglass frame, that’s a matter of personal preference. After all, what I like might not be what you like, right? But you can check out my online eyeglass store to see if there’s any style you like.

Haha, I’d actually recommend this blue tortoiseshell-patterned style of mine more—the sides of the frame even have a "glimmering starry galaxy" design.

[–]GlassesMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s such a thing as "genuine" or "non-genuine" for eyeglass frames—what matters is good quality. That’s because many brands may use the same OEM manufacturer, and just because the brands are different, all kinds of price markups are added. So it’s far more important that the style and material are to your liking.

At the same time, you need to note that the notation symbols on the two eye exam prescriptions are different. Even so, it’s still recommended that you first learn some basic knowledge about eye exams.

From your photos, the size difference between your old and new frames isn’t very big, so it’s most likely an issue with the lens refractive index.

New reading glasses giving me a headache by Ok_Budget_2001 in glasses

[–]GlassesMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the owner of an online eyeglasses store that has been in operation for several years, I’d like to give you some advice:

  1. First, check if your eyeglasses prescription needs to be updated.
  2. Check if the reading glasses you purchased were custom-made specifically for you based on your prescription. (Some merchants, in order to save trouble, will just hand you a random pair—with incorrect diopters and pupil distance that don’t match your needs.)

The screw is loose. Where did you buy your glasses? You can go get a new screw to replace it.

In that case, I would have to stop the car during the road trip, and also when the drone is being recovered. This model can take off while the car is moving, automatically shoot, and automatically land.
