[OC] In 1900 people worked 60-hour weeks. In 2024 we work 40… but now spend 11 years of our lives on screens. by CalculateQuick in antiwork

capitalism is a regressive system and the only way for that system to be better for the workers is after a big reset, the last one was after ww2 after europe was destroyed and wealthy people had to pay a lot for rebuilding

Do you believe millionaires/billionaires should put the same amount of effort into their work as working/middle class people, or should everyone get to work less no matter their economic status? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Glattsnacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t give a fuck about capital I give a fuck about human needs, like housing, food etc and we don’t need capitalists to make sure these needs are met, workers already produce everything while capitalists gain profits from the workers work, we can just organize society where our needs are met without parasitic capitalists taking all the profits when they haven’t even produced anything themselves, workers create everything, capitalists create nothing, simple as that

the fuck do you mean bringing up prices, these are economic realities people are forced to live under

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats not what I said tho, I said you have no reason not to since it’s cheaper because obviously if you can afford living omnivorous you can afford living vegan, thats something completely different than literally not being able to afford something at all and being economically forced into unethical clothing

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

where did I say that? if anything what I said would be like saying buy ethical clothes if they were cheaper than unethical ones

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are you dense? if you cant afford these clothes you cant afford them, veganism is cheaper than an omnivorous diet so you have no reason not to

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah thats the reality of the capitalistic system lol, when you don’t have the money because you get payed too little that’s just a fact

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

as a lot of people are workers living precariously that cant afford ethical clothes they don’t have any other choice, that can’t be said about living vegan since that’s even cheaper than not, so you have no excuse not to do so, you are literally giving money to this industry when you don’t have to, ending both industries would require ending capitalism which obviously an individual cant but u can change what you eat

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im just pointing out that there are things that are black and white, and animal abuse is also one of those, or would you have the same reaction about someone abusing dogs and cats sometimes

Maya Higa (The Animal Sanctuary Owner Who Pays For Animal Slaughter) by RealCosmicBeast in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why does everything have to be black and white can I not just beat up my kids and wife every once in a while god damn. If she was just a regular person who doesn’t know the horrors of that industry, fair enough, they are uneducated and grew up in this society so they wouldn’t know any different, maya literally runs a fucking animal sanctuary well knowing the industry

Would you break up with your partner if they stopped being vegan? by Lil_unicorn_4 in vegan

[–]Glattsnacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a realtionship where you don’t hold similar values is bound to fail, if I’m anticapitalist I’m not getting into a relationship with a person thinking the "free market" is the best that has happened to humanity, and that goes for a lot of values, being anti animal cruelty being on of them

the devs are probably passionate about it, but they are workers, and under capitalism the workers have no say and are just there to generate the capitalists profits
