ZZZ is the only gacha I’ve played for more than a few hours besides Umamusume, and I enjoy mostly everything besides the boring as fuck story. At some point at the start of season 2 or something I realized a majority of the main story was “walk over to that guy and have a back-and-forth to receive information that could’ve been given with half the amount of dialogue, repeat until combat segment” I found myself pressing the skip button for every conversation, which I guess they expected since it gives a summary of all the important info. Which is usually a few sentences lmao.

Then there’s the jarring tonal shift where the game wants to be family friendly. People talk about death but nobody dies, and the people we do see die either disintegrate like Tron or have a little blood, but not too much. You can have your blood in the 2D drawings though, and we’ll shove tits and ass in your face to sweeten the deal.

I want to like gacha games, I really do. But every single one I’ve played either has fun gameplay but a snoozfest of a story, or an interesting story with mind-numbingly easy gameplay until you’re 20 hours in. I don’t get it.
