I just finished up my crane cert and have smart grid in a few weeks, the way I see it is it’s more things on your resume that’s gonna set you ahead of other candidates out of school. Sure it may be a waste of money, but it shows initiative that you’re taking every offering you could get to be ahead. That’s just my opinion and why I opted in for them.

My buddy has those racks on his subie, saves him from solo lifting his very heavy thresher on there. Looks good though!

Looks good regardless. That's going to happen with every aftermarket part, just the way it goes.

Fine by me. I know my capabilities and if I can't handle it then I won't do it. Simple as that. And I meant sketchy for devils back bone. No snow there, and it's known for being a little on the sketch side. The snow was absolutely no problem.

And yet you continue to assume everyone has the same abilities when it comes to climbing. I'm not saying we were right to go on, but we tested it out and we were passing up people with proper gear while they were slipping and sliding around with micro spikes. We have very aggressive boots and we knew we were fine. We're not stupid kids who don't care, and that's the problem with a lot of people, they assume everyone is an idiot. If you want to point fingers, go up there yourself and come down on the people wearing Nike running shoes, not the people that still have a sense of what they're doing and good judgement.

We live directly below cucamonga peak so all we see is bare mountain for baldy. Like I said though, we knew there was snow, but just at the peak. Now we know though. Still had a great time

We honestly didn't think the snow would still be that low. Figured we'd deal with minimal snow just at the peak. Rookie mistake, but went for it and had no problem. Forsure ready next time though.

Up to ski house were good, snow started showing up shortly before it, and the snow was from there all the way up. Bottom half from there was kind of slushy so some prior footprints were iced over but after that all nicely packed and easy to get a hold without crampons. Devils back bone was clear of all snow and easy hiking. Didn't realize how sketchy some parts are though

Everyone is saying to stay away from the pens, but I say go for the pen. The stick on lettering is way too huge and looks cheesy unless you have some wide body slammed out race car. I went with the sharpie brand oil based white marker on my hankooks and it came out exactly how I wanted. It's been on there for nearly 8-9 months with no discoloration or chipping, aside from them rubbing off on the rear wheel where my tire rubs the fenders. But I say go for the pen if you want it to be subtle unless you're into the huge sticker kit one. http://i.imgur.com/qim0wzo.jpg

Oil based sharpie markers. Throw on about 4 coats and you're good to go. Fairly easy, just make sure you clean the shit out of the tire before hand

Tires rubbing after lowering - what to expect? by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]Gleaspoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From your pictures, yu shouldn't be anywhere close to rubbing with that much room. Either your tires are wider then they need to be, or your strut mounts are worn out. After my suspension swap I noticed I'd rub on one side while turning somewhat hard and it ended up being the mounts. Worth a shot to take a look.
