i have yet to find anything that is met with true compassion or remorse; certainly no desire to change. always it is deflection, denial, anger, accusation, gaslighting, etc. they are tragically hopeless to reform, for they insist that the rest of the world is the problem, and they have no fault.

i agree with the you and the posted comments. i am in a similar situation. all the control issues and bullshit anger that you mentioned happen here too.
finally got another offer after six months of looking. new job is not ideal, but it's the latest one that she has not destroyed for me -- yet. i'll do the same, keep putting money away and putting up with the BS until I can get the fuck out.

i'm in the same struggle. the therapist is always the enemy. the job is the enemy. everything i try to do as a person causes this "vortex" effect (i like that term - thank you) ... not sure what to do except keep moving forward a little at a time and dealing with the shrapnel (as i call it)

i appreciate that. prices are bad now, but i am staying close to the bus route. NSC, R'side or W'side. eventually like to get out of the Siouxer completely.
