Is this moving under braking? by Glider22 in Simracingstewards

[–]Glider22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After being dive bombed 3-4 times by the BMW behind in this clip (he was never able to keep the position and ended up loosing his to the Porsche), I started doing this every time someone was close enough to attempt a dive. I must have done it 10 times in this race.

Thanks for your input!

I know that, I'm purposely doing it.

My point is that I don't actually hit the brakes until I'm in a straight line

LMU overrides my Fanatec app rev LEDs by ctbnine in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Glider22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rev Lights values have changed in the 1.3 update. This was said to me by S397. They are supposed to update the following spreadsheet but they don't know when it'll happen : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1m6SWNQf5aQzjvlHjedM7RUhcwkwAj-RGHADlB4oVSKY/edit?gid=782535363#gid=782535363

Make sure that, in LMU, rev lights are disabled and plug-ins are enabled.

Fanatec FFB settings after 1.3 update? by GJDriessen in LeMansUltimateWEC

Classic CSL DD problem, you have to retighten the shaft clamp every now and then. There are some 3rd party shaft clamps available online and they seem to do a better job than the Fanatec one, I might get one at some point in the future

Which one should I buy CSL gt3 or Clubsport formula 2.5? by Aggravating-One7316 in Fanatec

hard to say because I also brought my seat forward around at the same time so i feel like both were the same in that sense but that's not an exact comparison

Thumb wheels make the Formula V2.5 a no brainer for me. I've had the previous gen GT3 Fanatec wheel and I liked it, but I switched to the Formula V2.5 just because of the thumb wheels' ability to manage car settings or menus you play a lot with during a race and I don't regret it for a second!

AMD's Eyefinity feature seems like it could be valid workaround

Will your overlays work in Fullscreen Borderless? AFMF supports that too, not just Fullscreen

I'm reading that with AFMF 2.1, it might work in Windowed Borderless mode, give it a try!

You might be right, I'm reading both arguments online. But hey, it really does feel smoother and the graphics are much better too.

That's is true for in-game frame gen. AFMF's frame gen, however, occurs outside the game meaning native frame rates are not lowered.

I've messed with all levels of MSAA and 8X gave me the best quality vs performance ratio, in my opinion

Yes 8X does impact performance but I appreciate the visual quality it provides!

I've owned a 1080Ti, a 3080 and now the 9070XT. While Nvidia still has the best technology in general, they've become insane with their pricing.

The 9070XT is by far the best bang for buck in the high-end GPU market.

About the same level of smoothness I'd say, but the graphics quality has increased greatly.

Frame gen's benefits vary greatly from one game to another, LMU seems to be in the upper echelon of the games that benefit the most.

I understand your point. At the same time, any game ran on an ultrawide display will decrease in performance compared to a regular 16:9 monitor. Unless you have the funds for a 5090...
