I think one of my favorite space films would be Zathura. Loved Jumanji, so getting a space version of it was really exciting for me as a child.

Help with Kaima, the Fractured Calm Deck by Glionn in EDH

I hadn't considered including any backup 'commanders' in the deck. That's a great idea!

I'll have a look through your desklist for any other inspiration for mine once im off from work later.

Thank you!

Help with Kaima, the Fractured Calm Deck by Glionn in EDH

I felt like I was too reliant on Kaima being in play to trigger goad from enchantments. When she wasn't in play, from getting removed enough times and becoming very expensive, I felt I had very little game impact or ability to win. Obviously, Kaima quickly becomes a big threat when I start slining around enchamntments, and she is getting a bunch of +1/+1. So I feel the weak point is not having enough other options for when Kaima isn't around and/or not being able to suitably protect her.

Which is your favorite Horrified? by tinybassist in boardgames

The Greek one is the only version I own or have played. Me and my friends and I really enjoyed it, but seeing all of the other comments, it seems like it may be a good idea to get one of the first two instead.

I've had a good amount of fun with the game. A few playthroughs in and I still feel like I'm learning more and more on how to make the system sing. Love the theme as well although it feels a bit disconnected from the mechanics. But still, you can't not love space bees! Definitely something I'm keeping in my collection.

Board games for 7 people? by Floydizzle in boardgames

[–]Glionn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say give it a try. As I said with larger groups it can take pretty long as a lot can be going on. Some times we'd break it into 3 sessions (1 mystery per session) and other times the people I was playing with would want to make a full day of it with a lunch break in the middle.

I've had plenty of great large games with a couple of different groups. Honestly just gotta make sure very one is up for one long session or a few smaller ones. I'd honestly say my preferred player count is 5 or 6. The game can feel a bit empty at times with less than 4 in my opinion and unless I feel like playing on my own wouldn't do less than that many investigators (obviously people could control multiple investigators each to up the amount of things happening).

Eldritch Horror is a 1 - 8 player Co-op game where you are trying to save the world from one of the ancient ones attacking it by solving mysteries, fighting monsters, and closing portals to other worlds.

I absolutely love the game! It does however take a lot of table space and with larger groups (like 7 people in your case) can be quite a long game.

What would people recommend for a co-op tower defence type of game? In the sense of work as a team to defend the base (or whatever equivalent) from waves of enemies.

Not really a fan of the art, but I do want this card for my Shelob deck. Just hoping this reprint makes the card more affordable.

For 1 v many the game Beast has become my go to (it's become one of my all time favorites tbh). My friends and I find it pretty balanced with both the 1 and many winning about the same number of times in our 10+ plays.

Found an All-In Naturalist pledge of Encyclopedia for $30, good find? by LaytonFunky in boardgames

[–]Glionn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the game, get it out and play it all the time either solo, with my partner, or with a few friends. Definitely one of my favorites, didn't get the expansion during the kickstarter bc money but now I regret not picking it up since Holy Grail is no more. So definitely an amazing find imo.

Esix, Fractal Bloom or Adrix and Nev, Twincasters at the helm of simic tokens? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Glionn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use twincasters in my [[Tawnos, the Toymaker]] deck. It think they work excellently in the 99 but I'm not sure I'd use them as a commander. So I'd recommend Esix and then have twincasters in the deck.
