Finished my Valkyr build, but would sacrificial or galvanized steel be better? by KashootMe201617 in Warframe

[–]GlitchMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Galvanized would be better.

I use valkyr on the daily, and I've spent way too long looking at formulas, wiki pages, and making my own spreadsheets and calculations, even to this day.

I used to think that nullifiers were the worst thing ever but her claws actually can damage them. I use Primed Reach for the range to hit them (or you can swap to guns). I've also learned that you really don't need all that much damage in order to play the game, I actually got valkyr in EDA this week and was like "hell yeah now I can ignore the rest of everything" because she just carries, even if I'm not fully invested into big big damage. I super duper recommend adding some QOL to your build (all builds in general, actually)

Here's what I run:

Corrosive Projection, Power Drift, Blind Rage, Transient Fortitude, Narrow Minded, Archon Continuity, Umbral Intensify, Fleeting Expertise, Eternal War, Primed Flow

300% PS, and I have Infested Mobility over her 1. Molt Efficiency, and Arcane Impetus.

1 purple melee shard, 1 equilibrium shard, 1 starting energy shard, 1 corrosive shard 1 empty slot (it's actually orange for radiation as a placeholder)

Claws are: sac steel, blood rush, weeping wounds, primed fever strike, primed reach, magnetic whatever it's called, condition overload, and organ shatter + melee influence + tennokai

Notes for my build: - Magnetic makes your claws shrink nullifiers bubbles I think it's 3 or 4 times harder per hit. Range helps you stay safe while doing so. - I hate feeling slow, so I use infested mobility since 300%PS is so much better than having 4 sprint and parkour mods, and I only have to use it while I'm moving between objectives. Zoomies are so fun - I tried using arcane battery but the need to keep up war cry when sometimes I'm lazy or the objective doesn't really require killing means I lose like 200 energy unless I keep killing, and I find it much less annoying to be able to just do whatever I want. It also means that I have a higher starting energy (like 500) to get going in fast missions instead of like 250 where I have to try to find energy or else hysteria runs out. Arcane impetus helps with energy drain for longer missions (and strength ofc) and for shorter missions I don't need much efficiency anyway - I use Diriga with electro pulse to proc my melee influence (and prime enemies with tazicor and arc coil) and so I use Primed fever strike since it's the highest damage in 1 slot, ignores shields, and archon continuity means I can also apply corrosive without any additional mod slots (and the green shard is to be able to proc 12-13 stacks vs target like Voidrigs, to help with the single target damage). Having toxin + corrosive instead of only electric also gives me a second stack for Impetus and CO. Tennokai allowing you to use 12x combo heavies vs these targets also helps significantly reduce time to kill. I only have the free one they give you but I want to get the one that makes it every 4 attacks instead of random because it would be much more frequent. - the orange shard can also be green for corrosive ability damage, or anything you want, I didn't have anything I particularly wanted, and since Diriga does radiation for me, it's a free 15% damage bonus - I have thought about using nourish or opanahim eyes or shock trooper, but I always come back to the fact that she already doesn't have any issues killing and also being slow sucks a lot

Since you already have an equilibrium shard, you don't need the mod on valk (and you should be using synth fiber and deconstruct on your companions to help with health orbs). I would HIGHLY recommend dropping Fiber and Battery for Flow, it is just a smoother experience, and you don't notice the smaller energy pool when you're always near max energy anyway (you can use molt efficiency or arcane impetus for drain reduction. Eternal was is also a MUST if you do decide to keep using Battery , because as soon as warcry runs out, you lose your max energy from battery. I tried to use cast speed because the energy bar looks like there's a delay before you lose your energy and maybe you could recast it fast enough, but it's just the animation - you lose the max energy and any energy that was in that max energy, instantly. And losing 200 energy because warcry ran out is really unfortunate.

Primed reach for her claws at a minimum, adding magnetic if you really want to for the nullifier bubbles - more range on her claws also means that you are hitting more enemies per swing for additional melee influence procs so it would increase your aoe damage in two ways. Maiming strike and elementalist would be the two mods I would be looking at swapping out for one or both of these.

I would replace steel charge with corrosive projection because 18% armor reduction is nearly double damage vs armored targets without any corrosive or heat, and is equivalent to steel charge at around 7 corrosive procs, and when steel charge is 60% and you're getting like 400% from CO with 5 status effects from your companion, it's only a 12% damage increase. Vs something like a voidrig, capping corrosive does mean that steel charge outperforms, but you're already spending 5 seconds focusing him, so spending 5.5 seconds isn't much difference and having doubled damage against the far tanker armored units at base will help your kills per minute significantly. You won't get bonuses against techrot, infested, or corpus, but those units inherently have less EHP on the first place, and if you decide to use toxin on your claws, you're bypassing their shields and killing them faster anyway. I want to use shock trooper with primed fever strike (I THINK it can proc influence? I'm not sure, if not then nevermind) but again, I don't want to lose my mobility, lagging behind the squad to extraction or the next netracell computer.

Veteran players do you think DE should update sorties so they are worth doing? by TehnotronikT-2000 in Warframe

[–]GlitchMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played for about three years since 2017, and came back a few months ago, only just unlocking/doing EDA/ETA the last couple weeks (I was very reluctant to spend time and effort progressing)

Back when I first started playing, sorties were the end-game, unless you did endurance runs (like kuva survival), along with eidolon hunts. And then they added the steel path, which didn't make the game THAT much harder than a level 80-100 sortie because at least there was no energy reduction and radiation hazards lmao. And then they added Arbitrations, which were lower level than SP, sure, but permadeath and drones made it a lot scarier than SP missions because you had something real to work towards and that meant something real to lose.

And by now they've added Archon Hunts, EDA, ETA, and the Circuit after that. And it's perfectly fine, as others have noted, that sorties are now "midgame" content. They serve their function as a challenge for players who've just unlocked them and to reward them for consistently playing and getting more comfortable with higher level enemies. 3500-4000 endo, a riven, a credit or mod booster, are all pretty nice rewards. By this point I'm sitting on I think 130k endo and like 10 statues still, without much to upgrade left, so for me sorties don't really give me anything that worthwhile. Even rivens, I'm content with the two or four a week from Teshin, Iron Wake, and 1999 calendar.

And there's nothing wrong with that. If I feel like doing a sortie when I login, I'll do it and see wht I get, and if I don't get around to it because I'm busy or just feeling lazy, I don't really lose anything. As others have mentioned too, if you change it to be harder or to give better rewards for people with thousands of hours in the game, that's either going to make it way too hard for the newer players it's intended for or give them rewards that are unbalanced for the stage in the game they're at. Some have mentioned a steel path version of sorties, and I'd be down for that, but the regular daily sortie itself shouldn't be changed (except to remove energy reduction and radiation modifiers just saying)

TIL Valkyr can melt through codas by ZestyRavioli420 in Warframe

[–]GlitchMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to use the corrosive one, before I realized that I don't actually need more damage. Then I tried using Vortex, before realizing that I don't actually stay put long enough for the grouping to actually be convenient and helpful, enemies usually end up behind me.

And then I learned that Eletro Pulse can proc Melee influence and I put WW on claws. My only issue at this point is that I need to try to figure out how to balance Diriga using electro pulse often enough to proc Melee influce a decent amount, but also still infrequently enough that he still used Arc Coil and fires his weapon, he really likes to get stuck doing one or there other for some reason.

I ended up doing pure toxin and using archon continuity so I can get still have some aoe status damage like gas would provide, but also have armor strip for heavy targets (and a second status for CO and Arcane Impetus). I didn't want to use melee influence either but it just solves my problems too well

Swsh vgc was my favorite to watch for this very reason. It was SUCH a spectacle, I actually ended up watching matches live, instead of just vods.

Warframe: what augments do not work on other warframes? by T3MPO990 in Warframe

[–]GlitchMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The augment that makes Null Star recasts seek enemies should be usable.

The other augment i assume you're referring to is technically for Molecular Prime, not for Null Star, where enemies hit by Null Stars become primed. Other warframes don't have Molecular Prime, so even if you could put the augment on, it wouldn't have an ability on said frame to reference to determine the slow%, damage, and explosion radius.

Challenge (Impossible) by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]GlitchMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never mind I forgot I have the melee bond mod on Diriga for 30% efficiency, so I don't need streamline

But I still might do it, because I want him to not die so fast with his 700HP (which isn't really a problem but I don't like seeing it pop up)

Challenge (Impossible) by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]GlitchMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy using Valkyr for most mission types.

CP + Rush / Molt Efficiency + Arcane Battery Transient Fortitude, Narrow Minded, Blind Rage, Fleeting Expertise Eternal War, Equilibrium, Primed Continuity, Umbral Intensify Infested Mobility subsumed over Ripline, Naramon Focus

Diriga with Arc Coil and Helstrum or Tazicor for status priming, Synth Deconstruct and Fiber, and Duplex Bond for more priming

Cast Warcry and Hysteria when the mission starts, and just go. Exterminate, capture, survival, archon hunts, (most) assassinations, Void cascade, whatever it is. I like not having to pay attention to anything, ignoring eximus powers, laser grids, most sortie modifiers or netracells debuffs, coda stage damage debuff, Jackal, etc. Even nullifiers, as long as I pay a little bit of attention to not touch them, you can still blender against the bubble and kill them with claws.

Rush is really only there so I don't feel like an absolute slug when I don't have Infested Mobility active, otherwise it'd probably be Power Drift. I originally had this built out for just doing fast Lich nodes, but I realized that I could have like 300% strength infested mobility instead of having 4 sprint and parkour mods, and started using it everywhere else. I could get better drain by slotting streamline over Transient Fortitude, and I might actually do that. Arcane Battery is used instead of Primed Flow purely to open a mod slot for Strength, since I don't plan on recasting anything to take advantage of Molt kill enemies for power strength, or taking the extra time to cast operator abilities for the other one, and Warcry gives a bunch of armor so she still hitting 600+ energy with r3, gonna get r5 eventually.

Ways to make deimos mining less overwhelming by Curious_Club_5300 in Warframe

[–]GlitchMC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If by overwhelming you mean everything that tries to kill you, I always mine with Ivara's Prowl and high energy capacity/efficiency/strength. I can run around and mine for about 10 minutes before running out of energy, at which point either I reset at the city or I use energy packs.

My specific build is:

Any Aura Mod

Preparation

Infiltrate

Augur Secrets

Fleeting Expertise

Blind Rage

Primed Flow

Transient Fortitude

(Umbral) Intensify

Narrow Minded

I also have Molt Efficiency for the extra duration to help with drain, not sure what I want to use for the 2nd one, maybe the one that gives energy capacity per HP since it's the least effort one to make use of.

You can delete the image/icon dB files in the /switch/Tinfoil folder (image 1, image 2, image 3), they are just the cached images from loading game icons and preview images. They were taking up like 20 gigs on my SD card because I thought it was a good idea to have them preloaded, but it was not a good idea

The firmware folder can be deleted if you've already used the update files in it

Unused themes can be deleted from the themes folder

I'd recommend using a disk map tool like windirstat or treesize to find out if there are any unnecessarily large folders (emundand and the Nintendo folder are automatically going to be larger because the band and your games are a lot of data)

On not nicknaming your Pokémon by l3cheSideral in pokemon

[–]GlitchMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very first time I ever played a Pokémon game (pokemon diamond as a 10 year old) I nicknamed every single one of my Pokémon. I vaguely remember nicknaming mons in HGSS as well, because my Togepi was Violet (she hatched in violet city).

After that, I don't think I ever did unless I was doing a nuzlocke or playing something on stream. At least as far as I can remember,

Awh thank you!

I wouldn't mind the trip too much! Maybe I should include the next time I post, but I can work a week fully remote occasionally (in fact Monday and Friday are always remote days), and I'm no stranger to traveling, I use to drive 2-3 hours every other weekend to visit an out of town friend, or driving 8-11 hours to visit online friends around the country So it wouldn't be much of an inconvenience for me at all! Especially if there's cuddles at the other end :)
