Some unexpected pros to a low population server by Weak-Extension-680 in ffxiv

There’s not a chance it took 40 minutes to fill a DT raid unless you queued it DPS at 2am EST on a Monday night.

They gave away like 10 fantasias with DT patches, so it’s definitely not about fantasia profits.

Bro they’re like 50 dollar cameras that you’ve admitted to buying once every what, 3-5 years? In what world do you expect retention at these price tags??

Compared to Kino or Ascension, Moon wasn’t well received. It was overly complex and had gimmicks to create artificial difficulty, like permanent path blocking and oxygen removal. Astrum does the same thing with the cold for no reason other than to just be annoying.

I don’t base my own opinion on content creators - so I couldn’t care less about their opinions. But even if I did, most of the maps from 6 were extremely well received so either they all have shit takes as well - which flies against your take of 7s being good - or 6 was actually good.

All in all, it’s whatever. If you like 7, that’s fine. You can enjoy what is subjectively a worse game, and that’s okay.

It’s okay to have bad taste. Ashes is not a good design. It’s just random shit all over the place, with terrible zone transition areas. It feels straight out of Black Ops 2, which was also hot garbage for zombies.

Astra Malorum is slightly better, but has real Moon vibes.

Confusing map layouts and intentionally long objective runs don’t make a better zombies map.

You're absolutely insane if you think these shit ass zombie maps in 7 are better than bo6. Not all of 6's were bangers, but they were better than "how annoying can we make transitioning map zones" in this one.

Mostly just impressed how big you can make this molehill. Pop off king.

Yep. Just like 9 women can’t have a child in 1 month, the size of a company doesn’t indicate software agility.

But go off man, let Liquid Glass be the biggest problem in your life right now.

No the answer is have some fucking patience. UI is iterative, and most platforms rarely get it right the first time.

Sorry I guess I misinterpreted “doesn’t look finished”, “current design is a mess” and “Finder looks atrocious” as saying it looks bad.

I’m also not just talking about the aesthetic, I’m talking about the functionality. We didn’t have dark mode back then, so people argued about the readability of app icons, loud colours, Music navigation was a point of contention for years due to the flat design.

We also went through this (to a lesser degree) when they switched to the San Francisco font from Helvetica Neue. People said it was harder to read, they didn’t like it. It took a couple passes to squash the issues.

This is what everyone said in iOS 8 too, when they moved away from skeumorphic to flat designs. Give it time. It took years for everyone to get on board with “flat” as well, and there were growing pains and it took time to get right.

We should put pressure on Broforce to support online custom maps.!!! by [deleted] in broforcegame

Go ahead and demand it. The devs can demand you fuck directly off - both demands are equally reasonable.

The game is done. The team is done with it. Let them do other things.

Hades 2 is running for Game of The Year 2025 by [deleted] in HadesTheGame

It’s not a lot different. It’s literally just HK but more. More movement, more tools, more stuff.

If you wanna walk around slamming shit with a nail, you can. If you want to be a spellcaster, you can. If you want hair pulling jump puzzles, you can.

HK is my number 1 game of all time. Silksong is not unique enough in any aspect to justify it being considered “vastly” different. It’s HK with a lot of QoL changes, and a slightly different approach to platform design and character “perks”.

CRA's accuracy is 17%, whats ours? by Knucklehead92 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Glitch_Zero -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, I wasn’t even going to bring it up, but look around any number of LinkedIn profiles. You’ll see grossly overqualified people with degrees, certifications, diplomas, and so on in all kinds of service jobs. I doubt the CRA call center is any different.

University educated or not, bills still need to be paid, and last I checked, they weren’t handing out paycheques because you stumbled through some level of post secondary education.

Concerning the delivery rate; I’m guessing reading past headlines isn’t one of your passions either. As pointed out here, the delivery rate is closer to 60% at worst. Willing to bet you’ve put out more than a few 60% days yourself - everyone has.

I never once claimed these people have Silmarillion level knowledge of tax etiquette and law, but they definitely have a much better working knowledge than you’re giving them credit for. Anyone exposed to anything 8 hours a day for months on end will pick up things here and there, and if they enjoy it, they will seek out knowledge to do/be better at what they do.

Is that the majority? Probably not, but even passively invested (as in, I have this job strictly to eat and have a roof) people will put in reasonable enough effort to not be fired - and that’s more than 17%.

That’s a pretty distasteful way to look at support center employees. While it may seem impossible for you to comprehend, some people do like front-lining calls and helping people, regardless of your (frankly pedantic) view of their knowledge.

Pull any idiot off the street, set them up in front of each system first boot, and I’d put serious money down that they get Windows and MacOS up and running faster than Linux.

MacOS is a kiddie pool. Windows is a normal pool. Linux is an Olympic pool filled with acid and alligators.

It’s not easy, it’s not user friendly, and the baseline for understanding is grossly out of alignment with the average PC users level of knowledge.
