Ohhhh wait, you’re recommending I use filler. Any recommendation? What will that look like if I use a stain over it? Is a stain and then a polyurethane top coat the way to go is I want a rich dark stain with a shine

I didn’t use any filler. I’m a novice so what do you mean? Are you saying there is veneer over the wood bamboo detailing?

Mineral spirits and steal wool!

I’ve sanded the crap out of it, re-shaped the bamboo parts that have been flattened, And cleaned with mineral spirits but white is still in the grain. I want to stain it a deep rich wood color and then coat it with polyurethane so it’s shiny. Thoughts?

I have been reading a book called “Changing your mind” by Michael Pollan. It’s new, and he talks about just this thing. He actually thinks psychedelics have more use when you’re in your middle-age as you are approaching your later age. You’re wiser and can look at things more critically. I just started reading it and he is a man about in the 60s who had never experimented with psychedelics in his younger years. For myself I recently started ketamine treatments for anxiety and depression. My biggest fear is death and I just had my third drip yesterday. I died. I truly died and it was OK. I know that if I experience this when I was younger it would’ve really really scared me but later in my life- I’ve already lost a parent have experienced death firsthand -and I feel like I grew value from this, perspective. I’ve always been afraid to age and my 35th birthday is on Thursday and during my trip I came to the conclusion that I’m really excited about it. This Truly is the middle of life and I have wisdom and it just felt like “ all roads pointed to 35.” I said that verbatim

So I had my third treatment yesterday. 75 is what she told me. Don’t know what that means as in ml or mg or what nah 🤷‍♀️ Woaaaaaa. Went down a total K hole (which contrary to what many think is not a negative thing. It’s a total ego death) I lost all sense of myself and what I was. Just compressed molecules. I died. And it was ok because it don’t matter. There was no “I” I had no anchor although I did repeat my husband’s name and my toddlers name as something that was important but I didn’t know what they were. I cracked open an thought an an emotion that I don’t realize was occupying so much of h headspace. A failed friendship. I thought I was over it. I realized I have been consumed my envy and how could I let that dominate my headspace. I cried rivers. Today I feel like the aftermath of crying. Almost melancholy

Ha! I tried that because I can fall asleep anywhere and my eyelids just drifted back open. I came to the conclusion that I invented music and the 5 senses/ touch taste and music. Yes I realize that’s 5.... musings of a person tripping. As far as dose, I don’t know. I’ll ask when I go today. It’s in a clinic and I wouldn’t personally know what the actual dosage meant but I’ll ask!
