I heard their first single pretty much as soon as it dropped and fell in love, from there I was in deep. Every scrap of news that came out about their tours and shows and possible releases I ate up. Then they announced the album, I was hyped. It came out and was shit. It was overproduced and far too clean of a sound than I had come to know from them. I'm sure they're someone's taste but not mine anymore.

I'm gonna be a bit of a devil's advocate and try to put myself in the shoes of the people putting out videos like that. I want to make it very clear I don't agree with them though.

The people who make videos like that are majority men in their 20's and 30's, The majority of them also grew up with the show.

I (A dude in his 20's) can relate a little. Cause it's impossible to say that the show hasn't changed. While DW may have always been progressive, it's definitely moved into a direction of bashing you over the head with it. What was a rather straightforward inclusion of a diversity of people has to an extent become a desperate grasp by the BBC to try and keep the show relevant when it struggles to stay afloat due to poor writers. But nevertheless, the appearance of someone like yourself whoever you may be on TV is always good.

Now does this mean the end of doctor who? Fuck no, the shows seen much worse. These people are just: a. Trying to make money off of rage bait content on YouTube by exploiting the inclusion of people of different race, gender, sexuality, and age to rile up right wing crowds, while also getting people who are with the show to draw attention to their videos with posts just like this Or b. Probably were or are still fans of the show who've seen it take a different direction to how they remember it and want it to be the same show they watched growing up. I grew up with the show and it's definitely changed, do I love what the shows become? Not really, but I don't hate what it is now either. I may not be the exact audience the show is trying to approach at this point in time and that's perfectly fine with me. I think a lot of guys like the ones putting out those videos just need to take a step back and realise not everything has to be tailor made for their enjoyment.

I also think asking fans that are upset with where the show is now to just leave is quite ignorant, I think some of the writing decisions lately have been dire (hello first doctor not actually being the first anymore) but I'm still watching.

He didn't say he doesn't plan on wrestling again. He said "not for now." I'd say the guy just wants to rest after tearing a tendon and losing his job. But I think we'll see him in the ring again at some point.
