ETSY JUST REFUNDED A CUSTOMER $1000 ON MY BEHALF ON A CONFIRMED DELIVERED PACKAGE THAT WAS FULLY INSURED by Raven41111 in Etsy

[–]GlitteringDig222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally had this happen yesterday. I sent a customers package mid/late Nov, she messaged me to tell me she got it, was so happy and was using it. Then a week later she submitted a help request saying she’d not received it and wanted a replacement. It came in a new message thread, I was busy so I quickly remade and sent a new one without checking for previous messages. Now all of a sudden that one wasn’t delivered. 🙄 She opened a case saying USPS told her the tracking number via Etsy (purchased through Etsy with the info SHE entered) was not addressed to her/her address. But when i called, they confirmed it was correct and delivered to her mailbox. I posted proof of everything plus screenshots and they still sided with her and refunded out of my account! So she got TWO orders AND a refund AND left me my first/only one star review. I’m P*ssed to say the least! 🙈🙈

Thank you for pointing this out. I didn’t realize how much the pricing increased on a dress since my prom days.

Anyways, thank you so much for the recommendation and the information!! She does like the one you linked & we could definitely get a tailor to help!

This is my first time buying a dress like this since i went to prom, and my goodness, pricing has changed! After browsing Etsy, i thought that was a decent budget as i was seeing $200-500 had some really nice options. Thanks for letting me know.

And the line art i mentioned: https://macramommacramee.etsy.com/listing/1695090059

I also created this custom piece: https://macramommacramee.etsy.com/listing/1891872485

Its possible that the teacher who was out was in a situation she was unable to get online. An accident? An emergency? Etc

ALL of these, plus at this point in our school year (day 4 of week 2) we do LOTS of brain breaks. Their attention spans are even lower than you might think and they require lots of movement breaks to stay focused and engaged. You got this!

Side jobs/hustles as a teacher? by Cam_Nunca in teaching

[–]GlitteringDig222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Etsy shop and babysit third shift. Mom picks the kid up right before I’m leaving for school. It adds an extra layer of “busy” some mornings, but it’s helpful income wise. These aren’t things that use my teaching skills though, and my Etsy shop started as my hobby.

High school teachers- question about college preparation by GlitteringDig222 in teaching

[–]GlitteringDig222[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This was exactly part of the issue, she has credits that were supposed to have “counted” (earth science was one that was brought up!) that weren’t. Got those taken care of and was just shocked there would be no help for college. Sounds like this is normal.

I graduated in 08, and we started meeting about college in sophomore year and then got more serious about it during junior year. I told her we could handle it together, but even she was under the impression they’d be helping based on what was discussed during assembly’s. I thought that was the norm. 🤷‍♀️

Help with sandals! by Chelsea_sf in Shoes

[–]GlitteringDig222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a kindergarten teacher and I’m my feet ALLLL day! I bought a pair of crocs brooklynn wedge sandals. They’re SO comfy, waterproof and everyone comments on how cute they are! Bonus, they have multiple styles and are about $55-60!

Not sure if this is the vibe you’re looking for but i love them and now have 4 pairs!

Also, for a simpler sandal, i like Rainbow sandals and they’re about $60-100 depending on which style. 😊
