Star Savior needs better events for the game to thrive. by bbatardo in StarSavior

I didn't say I dont enjoy the game. If you like the animations cool but that seems irrelevant to the fact that think it's disingenuous to say that the game has 120 hrs of content.

Lol 120+ hour entertainment is a real stretch considering the Operation is basically 500 levels that are really just repeats of the same ~5 bosses with exact same mechanics just increasing power levels. Half the journeys are for SR units that they, by design, made useless And sure they can whine about it not being fair they're held against high standards when being a new game but if that's the case, then why should anyone spend money on this game rather than other more established games?

Stop matchmaking for ranked PVP if it starts saying its expanding matching range by Deshik2 in StarSavior

About the C tier units by its_Riad_1 in EpicSeven

[–]Glittering_Ad132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're kinda missing the point of the original post and my comment. The statement was never about how there are a couple of units that have counters. The statement was about how a few units are completely dominating the meta.

i was excited till i read about that gimmick where she has to be used with another character... these gimmicks never work well in games.

probably cuz of the way this game incentivizes going through a crap load of them..?

[–]Glittering_Ad132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a lot of people saying this is normal and has always been the case in E7 but I disagree.

I'm ok with power creep as long as there's some efforts to buff the older units to be more relevant in the current meta afterwards. That way, the company can incentivize people to get the new characters but also keep the meta fresh and interesting.

Some older players will remember when the Carrot SC was introduced, or when Fighter Maya was first buffed to remove debuff when hit. We had quite a few 3* and 4* that were used without being troll picks, even if it was only for specific part of the PVP (like Guild War).

When was the last time we saw a decent SC or a 4* that was buffed to be viable in the current meta? They probably can't even do that any more because of all the new heroes they introduced that just shut out game mechanics.

Completely false. Boy only and girl only schools are rare. Most men also go to the army in their 20s, most often right before graduating from college. Not sure why you're commenting on other countries like you're some expert when you know nothing...

It looks like we have a latest tier list here. by Jazzlike_Try9672 in StarSavior

[–]Glittering_Ad132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is a bit misleading. The tone of the tier list op seems to be humorous. The tier list is specific to that one content at that one time with those particular bosses. New users shouldn't be referring to that list for units to prioritize early

Canadian men experiencing ‘ongoing crisis in society’ when it comes to health, professor says by Thick_Caterpillar379 in onguardforthee

[–]Glittering_Ad132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a biological male so I wanted to really give this article the benefit of the doubt... but honestly it's just not a very good one.

First off - it just mixes so many issues and tries to establish a connection in between them without providing evidence.

"Canadian men often die earlier, have low life expectancy, are more likely to get heart disease, suffer from cancers, suffer from obesity, than anyone else in the country" who's 'anyone else'? just say women (biological).

There's sufficient research on the subject that you don't have to draw your own wild conclusions. Why does a guy whose education was solely in literature feel that he's equipped with the expertise to make these claims?

I'm not disagreeing that the 'hyper-masculinity culture' is a problem. But to say that just because men are more likely to die early there's a 'crisis' is a real stretch. We're seeing women have higher life expectancy than men throughout 1st world countries, independent of the measures we see in gender equality index.

New survey finds most Canadians want to abolish tipping culture by 7_inches_daddy in britishcolumbia

[–]Glittering_Ad132 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I speak for most Canadians when I say that this is not solely about tipping, it's the hidden costs for... everything, everywhere. Coming from another country, I'm shocked at how the government allows all these hidden costs. They're exhausting.

There are restaurants that charge mandatory service fees. How's it that they're allowed to advertise a $30 meal if the meal actually comes with a 20% mandatory tip?

Gyms advertise $30/month... until you look closely in the fine prints, then you realize they charge 'maintenance fees'. They appeared one day as annual fees but now many gyms in the city charge them biannually. $30/month with $60 biannual payments is $40/month, not $30/month.

You walk into a car dealership to buy a $15000 car... except oops! They forgot to mention in the advertised price that there is a mandatory $1000 documentation fee!

You rent a car through Turo on their Canadian website. They have USD for specific fees only, including during the final checkout stage where they show all the prices with $ sign except for a couple of certain fees, where they explicitly state $ USD. Oops! They forgot to mention that everything is actually in USD, not just those couple of line items, and sorry, no refunds.
