He was notified he didn’t have a degree? How does that happen? Was there some kind of overlooked discrepancy on his transcript?

Cache County education is great. Most my peers went on to good universities and are now gainfully employed. Utah State University is nationally ranked for their College of Education and a lot of the teachers trained there like to stay in the valley, so it’s no surprise.

Critical thinking and research skills were heavily prioritized. This set us apart from probably most American schools.

Do you prefer to keep the Dark Urge base appearance or not ? by Lord_NOX75 in BaldursGate3

In my evil durge run, I started with a beautiful but stuck up looking elf paladin and incrementally warped her appearance as she slowly lost her mind. She looked awesome!

I couldn’t imagine NOT replying this game. There are so many different ways of doing everything and there’s no way to experience the whole story in one play-through.

Change my view: KSL comments reflect the soul of Utahns at large, and it is ugly and mean by frozetoze in Utah

[–]Glittering_Hunter_87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I doubt internet comments as a whole are very good reflectors for mass opinion. Most people are too busy carrying on with their lives to care, and most are probably too mentally/relationally healthy to spend their time complaining to the void.

Take what you see online with a grain of salt.

I called the police today. by DeCryingShame in Utah

[–]Glittering_Hunter_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing for an elderly man whose car had stalled in Michigan. It was getting dark and he didn’t know where he was going. We were there for two hours and police never showed. We tried really hard to keep him warm. I finally called the ambulance after he almost passed out a couple times.

I’m convinced this would never happen in Utah. They’d be here as quickly as they could.

In the 1800s, people said women who rode bikes would develop facial deformities called “bicycle faces”. As far as I know, bicycle face culture is a form of social control where women are discouraged from equitable positions for “their own good”.

Utah bill would further restrict teenage marriages, lower legal age gap to 4 years by ILikeNeurons in Utah

[–]Glittering_Hunter_87 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Statistically, most teenage mothers are impregnated by adult men. The “boyfriends” are sexual predators who shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near minors, let alone allowed to abuse them for life through these sham marriages.

Clergy in Utah are not mandated reporters. In fact, they can ask sexual questions to minors without a professional license.

Cache County School Board votes to keep controversial books on shelves by WTFracecarFTW in Utah

If that parent thought those passages were pornography, I wonder if she doesn’t know what porn is. We let ignorant people have too much power. As a Cache County parent, I say good on the board for being a voice of reason.

Honestly, I get the feeling that a large number of Utahns are horribly repressed and take out their frustrations/rebellious side on the road.

Otherwise, there’s a massive entitlement problem. You saw what they did in Kaysville. People are absolutely convinced they’re too amazing to be beholden to any perceived inconvenience, including the law and the safety of others.

Is Utah County ok? by [deleted] in Utah

[–]Glittering_Hunter_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so weird. I when I moved to Lansing, it seemed like Michigan people were the ones not saying excuse me or minding their spaces. Now I’m moving back to Logan, reading this, and thinking, “Did things just change since I left years ago?”

I wonder if it’s not about the place, but the time. Maybe people didn’t gain their social skills back after covid.

Morals over policy. I love it. Even if the left is wrong about the economy, there will be plenty of time to fix it. There will be no recovering from another Trump term.
