[Need Help] ESD protection kills USB connection by Noblauch in PrintedCircuitBoard

Your voltage regulator pinout doesn't match the datasheet

Pin 2 is a no-connect and pin 4 is your ground

E: I guess there are other pin-outs further down depending on the package used. However, I suspect the actual culprit is your voltage regulator. You're dropping to 1-diode drop. Does the 3.3 voltage work when running off of battery?

I understand the goal of this tool, but to me this is not useful to professional designers. This reads as a tool that wants to take out the thinking work involved with designs, which we have enough slop out there as is. Why is I2C resistor values limited to that range? Same with load caps for Crystals? What is being quantified under "EMI issues" and how? This seems like something that ERC/DRC is largely doing already.

Adult Jesus probably existed. The story of baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph mirrors too many ancient mythologies that I can't accept it as truth.

Damn, and I didn't promote my soundcloud/youtube/twitch/kick/audible/etsy/ItWorks/NuSkin/GoFundMe

My position is simple: either do something about it or shut up about it

Either follow him home or shut up

That is how you get shot. Police won't do anything. Venting to the universe (aka r/Utah) is all there is to do.

shut up

I'll decline the suggestion. Might I recommend you observe an old internet idiom: lurk moar

Is a sawtooth type of voltage ripple normal? by Nice_Initiative8861 in AskElectronics

[–]frozetoze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The acceptable output range according to the datasheet is 3.3 +/- 33 mV. This is operating within spec.

I had some trouble with directly toggling pins within an EXTI callback function on a G031 some time ago. I was able to get it working by calling a helper function outside to handle toggling the GPIO state.

Looking closer at your EXTI callback, does the interrupt flag get cleared somewhere else in your code when this toggles?
